Vuzix M100 Smart Glasses (Grey)

This is a great device

I feel like I wasted my money on this device A. K. A. SmartGlasses, I'm having a hard time with this device, I can not find a app that would work properly with the m100 smart glasses, I tried junaio mirage, with the argument reality, that app was not working properly, it kept on showing me places that had nothing to do where I live at, that app works differently on a apple device, I try layers, app, it crash both apps give me problem, I try to download navigation app it just not working for me, since I had these m100, yesterday I went out and buy me a tablet, and I finaly got the m100 smart glasses manager app, the app help to navigate on the m100 easer, but it don't matter, android apps I tried are not working properly. I don't have micro sd card yet, that's in the works, because I don't know what micro sd card is compatible with the m100, my expectations was huge, I want to use them, for navigation, argument reality, well as social media. Alll I can do is, take pictures or video, scan bar code and QR code, and I was not impressed because I know I can do this with a smart phone or digital camera, I'm that close to asking for all my money back that's how disappointed I am. And it's probably to late to send these m100 back to Amazon. So I'll have to keep them and hope in the future that the m100 smart glasses get better and they fix these issue, I only wish I can show you what I am talking about. I'm going to write Vuzix soon, because the company will right you back that I know. Until tm100 get better, iI'm only giving this review. In the future my review mite be better, I don't think right now Vuzix is focusing on the consumer, they are just focusing on busineses.

Terrible, out of date trash tech. Literal garbage. Words cant do justice to how useless and flawed these are.

I'm a little suspicious of reviews that are all 5 stars without anyone having any kind if a problem finding a technical glitch with such a cutting edge device. These reviews have the flavor of being written someone who has a vested interest in the success of this product, like, say, a Vuzix shareholder. Not the sense that the writers are actual users of the device.

I consider myself a tech geek and love the idea of having the internet completely accessible in front of my face at all times without having to look down at my phone or having to go on my desktop. With the M100 glasses, I can just sit down on my couch and access the Internet comfortably. At my work place, it has helped me stay organized tremendously. I never forget when my boss has a meeting due to the calendar being in front of my eyes always. This is the the real deal folks. And some of their apps from their App Store are really useful! I would give it five stars but gave it four only because while I do think it's an awesome product and the best portable smart glasses in the game right now, I do think there is plenty of room for improvement with the glasses. Maybe a software update would bring those improvements. But for now, I'm having a blast using them, especially at my workplace.

After using both Vuzix and Google Glass, I can tell you that the Vuzix M100 is the better product. I was introduced to the product at work while scanning and shipping items from our company warehouse. The glasses enabled me to avoid having to use a handheld scanner and made things easier and more effcient. The unit is far more robust and has a longer battery life. The Vuzix glasses also sit more comfortably on the head. You'll find yourself using smartglasses for a whole host of activities when you want to have information available and need both your hands. The glasses are useful for relaying and streaming live video from the field, for sports and recreation, to see information while driving, and for whatever else you might need.

OS is way too old! Apps don't really work and they're outdated. Customer support isn't there either. Cannot see camera in low lighting. Gets hot when used for too long. Rubber noise cancelling attachments don't fit the unit. Hoping the new versions will live up to the hype. I will say the screen works great in outdoor lighting. Just needs developers to work on it.

Very shady business ethics from Vuzix. They seem to have a decent product. But with the way Google Glasses is priced, why wouldn't I just get the Google Glasses for $200 more? I came on here to get a good sense of which pair I want to get.
