CRL Translucent Vinyl Double Leg Seal with Pre -Applied Tape for 5/16" Maximum Gap - 95 in Long

Nothing fancy here - it just works great. Peel old moldy one off, clean up area really well (recommend using cleaner and rubbing alcohol then wash with clean water on glass edge-surface). Helps if you have a third hand when aligning down the edge of the glass door. I did it myself and came out fine, but I went slow so that it was 100% straight.Good product, easy to put on.

I purchased the bottom runner to replace the original a few years ago from the installer of the door and it was very pricy. When the legs on side strip started ripping, I started to look for a replacement and this was the exact match at a fraction of the price from the last experience. There was some scalloping and I did stretch it out as another reviewer suggested but I put it up with the scalloping and it's gone now. I installed it on a clean surface, pressed down with my fingers and then I used the handle of a metal crochet hook that I had put in warm water. It's been on with a good seal and the scalloping is gone. I am very pleased and know where to go the next time that I need to replace.

This product is identical to what was originally installed on my glass shower doors as CRL is the industry standard. The fins on my old seal were tearing in several places. The old seals were easy to remove and were used to cut the new seals to the correct lengths. I used acetone to clean off any residual adhesive from the glass door edge where the new seals would be placed. The adhesive on the new seal is just as strong as the original and is functioning perfectly. Additionally, some reviewers complained that their seal arrived with wavy fins, however, this was not the case with mine as they were perfectly straight.

You will see a lot of comments in the reviews that complain this is shower door seal is unusable because the two legs aren't straight but rather are in a wavy, scallop-like pattern. When mine arrived, I saw what these people are talking about. However, this "scalloping" seems to be an artifact of how the product is shipped (coiled up), and can be easily fixed. I just took mine and taped one end to a wall and let the other end hang down and found that after about a week the scallops had stretched back out into straight lines. And then the beauty of this seal is the self-adhesive tape, which makes it so easy and neat to mount.

For some reason I had a really hard time finding this. I used it on the top of my (steam) shower door which is tight and had the tendency to pull the seal off . I used another product (Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape Odowalker 32.8ft(11 yards/10m) PET Acrylic Weatherproof Heavy Duty Glue Incredibly Strong Double-Sided Tape for Industry, Auto and Household (8mm×10m)) to adhere the product. The combination worked great.

My glass shower door has an adhesive seal running vertically down the entire 7ft length of the door. After 7 years, the seal started to tear apart and split. Figuring this must be a common issue and finding a replacement would be easy, I was surprised at how difficult it was to find a replacement seal with an adhesive back like this one. Sure, there are many options for other types of seals, like the ones that grip or "cup" both sides of the door. But those, in my opinion, look tacky and are not what was originally intended for my shower. This was exactly what I needed. Applying was simple. However, you must make sure you remove ALL the adhesive from the old seal before applying this. I used a razor/utility knife and rubbing alcohol. Once you have a "clean" edge, the bonding adhesive included on the seal is incredibly strong. This came in a length of about 8ft, so I cut off about 1ft to fit my door.

Product came with no Pre-Applied Tape and the "Double Leg" Seal is warped in areas making the entire strip unusable.

The price is great, but it does not adhere well. I prep the surface on the shower door and affix it correctly. But it just does not stay adhered to the door
