Angel and Faith: Season Ten Volume 1: Where the River Meets the Sea (Angel & Faith) Paperback – January 6, 2015

Buffy Season 9 was a little lackluster, it was good but not as good as season 8. However, Angel & Faith season 9 was awesome and the quality is continued into season 10.I only had a few issues with it. I would have like to see Angel & Faith working together, but that will come around eventually. My second very minor worry is the fact that they're using Amy again as the villain. I liked Amy on the show and her appearance in season 8 worked. But I'd like to see an original big bad, other than Corky.Anya appeared in Buffy Season 10 as a ghost only visible to Xander. It would be cool if they could work Cordelia, Fred, Wesley, or Doyle into the mix. Doyle would be my number one choice if they considered bringing in the spirit of one of the deceased characters. I was also kinda bummed that Illyria got killed off last season, I liked Illyria. Lorne would be a nice addition, especially since Andy Hallet died, at least they can bring him back to life through the comics. Also, no sign of Connor so far. I hated him on the show, he was moody and annoying, but I could tolerate him in season 9. Though he won't be missed if he's completely left out of season 10.

I totally loved Christos Gage and Rebekah Isaacs, the creative team from the previous season of Angel and Faith. I was rather bummed that they would not be returning for season ten, but I have to say, Victor Gischler and Will Conrad have taken the ball and raised the game to new levels. The tone, characterization and artistic depiction of all of the characters is fantastic. I'm more excited to see what comes next from this title than I ever have been. Top notch work!As a side note; for anyone who enjoys Victor Gischler's writing here, I highly suggest his novel Ink Mage. His writing is like some impossibly perfect mix of Joss Whedon and Quentin Tarintino.

This is VERY readable and fun, just look at the tentacle demon on the cover... you know you want to read it

I was thrilled to see some of my favourite characters from the previous seasons return for another action packed installment

La saison 9 avait une trame narrative étalé sur toute la saison. Marque de fabrique d'Angel et Buffy depuis même les séries TV. La saison 10 de Buffy respecte ce schéma et l'on sait rapidement quel va être la ligne directrice. Pour la saison 10 d'Angel, ce n'est pas le cas. Il n'y a pas encore de ligne directrice, pas de but précis hormis se battre contre un énième démon. D'avoir séparé nos 2 héros (pour l'instant) n'arrange pas les choses.Donc un début de saison lent en demi teinte mais le scénariste étant nouveau sur la série, laissons lui le temps de prendre ses marques.

Chances are you'll only be ready this if you've been following the Buffy franchise post TV show.In my opinion Angel and Faith Season 9 was better than Buffy Season 9. Reading this volume following Buffy S10, Volume 1 I felt a little underwhelmed. Buffy seems to be back on form but at the sacrifice of Angel and Faith.
