Size:16.9 fl oz, (Pack of 2) Colortec Wheel Cleaner is a high performance, fast-acting wheel cleaner that effectively removes brake dust and road grime while effectively removing iron contaminants for a fast and thorough clean. The color changing formula lets you know it's removing iron contaminants when the cleaner changes to purple. Free of harsh acids, ColorTec is safe to use on chrome, aluminum, painted and non-painted wheel finishes (not recommended for use on powder coated finishes without a clear coat finish). Just spray, wait for the cleaner to change to dark purple and rinse thoroughly with water.

Works as advertised, BUT it SMELLS HORRIFICALLY that it simply can't be used or stored!
I had a hard time how to rate this products, if it's for the expected result and function of the cleaner, it's 4/5 or 5/5 star, as it basically does as advertised, you spray, let is sit and turn pink, and then brush and rinse-off better than any other wheel cleaner I've used. However, it smells SO BAD, SO STRONG, that it's essentially unusable! It smells like metallic rotten eggs combined, hard to describe. It smells THROUGH the bottle, like I could smell it through the Amazon box. Then even wrapped in a tight bag, it absolutely stunk my entire garage, in such a way that I simply couldn't keep it any longer, so used it once and threw away. Also, the smell during use was very strong, making it hard to use.So, bottom line, unless you have an air tight container that you can keep this thing in, if you can store it in open air somewhere, or in a shop, if you're not that sensitive to smell, buy it. Otherwise, skip. Nextzett MUST re-formulate this or to have a much tighter container as it simply is not usable in a typical household.

One star reviewers are a bunch of babies
Yeah, it smells. Big deal. Most of these one star reviews even state it works great "but smells". If you want to remove iron deposits from your paint and wheels, ALL the products out there smell to one degree or another. That should not constitute a 1 star review. Nextzett is the BEST bang for your buck. I've compared the prices out there (iron-X, griots, Wolfgang, etc). This one has the same ingredients for less money.

Smells strongly
Havent gotten a chance to properly use it yet, but BE WARNED that this stuff smells through the bottle, the bag, and the shipping box. This isn't a flaw in the product, this is simply a trait of the main ingredient thioglycolic acid. you might recognize it as the same stuff they use to perm your hair. this is the exact same smell, except very strong. This stuff definitely smells more than Sonax FE and Griots heavy duty wheel cleaner. This means that this product must have a higher concentration of thioglycolic acid, so I expect this wheel cleaner to work very well, will update review if this is not the case.UPDATE: Was able to use it this past weekend, and the wheel cleaner works very well. dissolves iron into purple suds to be washed away. Works nicely. Still smells though...

Smell is ridiculous but works good
Smell is intoxicatingly bad gave me an immediate headache and made me a little nauseous could not clean more than one wheel. Does a good job if you can tolerate smell I couldn’t therefore I will not be using this again. I am using ammo plum which is more expensive but the smell is actually good compared to this stuff

Great stuff...bottle doesn't last too long.
This is a great no scrub wheel cleaner. You spray it on and wait for the color to change to purple and then you spray off. I typically leave it on the wheels for a few minutes longer and spray it off with a strong stream of water. I don't leave it on long enough for it to dry on the wheels. The only downfall is that it doesn't last very long and the smell is pretty strong. The 16.9 oz bottle lasted me about 3 car washes. It could be that I'm using too much at a time and I admit that I'm a little liberal with the spray, but by using that much, it really does a great job of cleaning my wheels without having to scrub.I wash my car once a week so my wheels accumulate brake dust, but not to the point it's caked on. So, I'm not sure how well this stuff will work if your wheels have a heavy layer of brake dust/grime.Thinking about picking up the 1.3 gallon size.

Smells horrible, but works wonders!
I agree, the smell of this wheel cleaner can definitely be overwhelming when in closed areas. I usually keep mine in the back of the trunk in my 2nd car so I'm not stinking up the Audi. Although it smells horrid, it doesn't linger for too long and REALLY works wonders on all the brake dust. Like other wheel cleaners the purple color change happens when the wheel cleaner comes in contact with brake dust. I find this feature really neat because it shows just how much it's actually taking off and it rinses off easy leaving the wheels looking amazing! Although the smell is awful, I'll definitely buy again for the great job it does!

Smells gross, works perfectly!
It does smell gross, but that's what you expect when you buy this type of wheel cleaner. It's meant to dissolve iron particles and is safe for all wheel types except for powder coated wheels. Used sparingly it works very well. I compare it to CarPro's IronX, but it's different then Sonax's Full Effect cleaner, which is thicker and has another cleaner in it along with the iron dissolver. The Nextzett cleaner is more like IronX, it's easy to spray a mist over the wheel and use less product. Over all a great option for a iron decontamination cleaner.

AWESOME. . . . but take this warning.
Works great. Makes cleaning wheels so easy.THE SMELL...... It's worse than...rotten eggs + dog poo + sour milk + dead skunk mixed together.I'm not sensitive when it comes to odors, but even when I put this inside two, that's DOUBLE, gallon ziplock bags.. .. You can still smell this stuff. You cannot leave it inside your house. It works so well that I'll buy it again, even though it needs to be buried 2 feet underground to keep the smell away.
