Bats: An Illustrated Guide to All Species

Very informative
When I was young kid, I would go out at night and watch our local bats fly and feed on the bug that used to fly around the street light. I was always fascinated by them. I wanted to learn more about them. There was one book in the school library and it was NOT informative at all. A lot of misinformation. Now that I am so much older now. Mr.Turtle had rekindled my love of bats.

A very informative read on bats.
It's more of a living room table kind of book, in my opinion, but a good one. Maybe twice a week I'll pick it up for a few minutes and learn about different bats. I enjoy the images because I sculpt and been thinking about sculpting a bat monster. This book will provide great reference photos.

Bat Encyclopedia
I bought this book for my 15-yr. old autistic son who LOVES bats. His birthday was coming up, and I really wanted him to have a bat book of his own. This book has exceeded my expectations! It is very detailed with wonderful pictures and everything you could possible want to know about bats. My son loves this book! He carries it around with him all of the time, and enjoys informing us about all of the things he's learned about bats. We've been out & about and have seen bats flying around, and he'll tell us what kind of bat it is, and exclaim, "I read about them in my bat book!" If you're looking for a comprehensive book about bats, look no further!

Beautiful and comprehensive
This book is absolutely gorgeous! The photos are all very high quality and clear and the pages and binding are thick and sturdy. My only point of critique is that most of the photos are just shots of the head, which is fine for a book like this but it’s not the best guide for species identification. More for general information. Overall though I am so pleased and excited for this book!

One word, spectacular. It’s a must have!!
If you’re a bat lover than you will absolutely love this book. It shows species of bats that we know nothing about and is very Informative. There’s vivid, close up pics of the bats as well and I’d purchase again for myself since this was a gift for my gf. She’s a bat lover as well and you can get lost in reading about these magnificent creatures. I recommend to anyone. Kids, adults alike. Educational to all willing to learn more about the incredible life on this planet. We’ve yet to discover all species of bats I’m sure! I highly recommend for everyone.

Wonderful book with stunning illustrations & full descriptions.
A wonderful book, stunning illustrations, beautiful ( new) condition, clear introductory explanations, & detailed descriptions of multiple carefully categorised species of bat.Have at last found that the vampire bats ( of which there are only 3 out of 1384 species) live in central & south americas.Would have liked to know WING span of various bats, and how their body length is measured. My only quibble would be that not categorised for the layman - viz vampires, insect eating, frugivores.Had to find each species and put in categories useful to me.But a lot of clear information, that I’d been looking for for years.

Bats
Great book. Poor packaging. Book to heavy and not fully protected. One corner was damaged.Additionally, the delivery driver placed it on the wet ground and the packaging acted as a wick. The cover of the book became wet. Had to dry it out.
