This Item does exactly what it states! It makes the sound louder and in my opinion it cleans it up some. I use this in my car to boost the music coming from my tablet. Now I don't have to turn the radio volume all the way up just to hear it! And I love that there is no interference from the charging cable getting into the music! Great Buy!

I'm a court reporter. I have used Boostaroo for years, going through a massive amounts of batteries in the process. BEHOLD! The USB-powered Boostaroo!! Couldn't be happier. The amplification of my audio files is superb! There does seem to be a "haze" or "fuzz" in the audio from time to time, but not always. So that could be something on the recording end of my audio files or perhaps my sound card. Not sure. But as far as Boostaroo's amplification? Big Thumbs Up!

Really great on an airplane to bump up the volume so that my wife and I can watch movies & music videos on the airplane. It's loud enough to drown out screaming babies, the sound of the jets, everything except the Bank of America (Alaska Airlines) credit card ads they do through the loud speakers in the middle of the flight, but even then they do help. Handy using regular batteries instead of being rechargeable.

The Boostaroo brand has gone downwards, this version is not nearly is loud as the version 10 years ago. This barely adds any volume but I suppose some is better than none.

Pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It is a good portable audio boosting amplifier. Powered by USB, or AC or 2 AA batteries is just what I wanted. I am 66 and loosing my hearing. This works anywhere I need it to. It is priced right and I plan to buy it again.

I am a medical transcriptionist and speech editor. This little gizmo is well worth having for those hard-to-hear dictators. It is wonderful, wish I had found it long time ago! I am ordering another so I have a spare just in case!!! I don't want to be without it.

Terrible device. The "boost" is minimal. No volume control - you have to use primary device for that, I guess. The device is large - it holds two AA batteries end on - not provided. That makes it the same length as an iPhone 6, and almost as heavy. You have to take out the batteries if you want to plug in to USB or wall - based on instructions there is a "FIRE RISK" [their Caps, not mine]. Nothing about re-chargable batteries, so I guess they are out. Certainly no re-charger in the unit.

Power cord and unit cord only lasted 6 months.Used for a Sirious Radio in a semi truck.Nice when it worked. After a few months its cords started shorting out.
