I used this to replace the failed unit in my outdoor gas fireplace. Before installing it I put in a fresh battery and pressed the button and got a good spark between the two ports, without anything plugged into them. After the arduous 1-minute installation process, it worked right away. OK, I was just kidding about arduous. Push the connectors on, slide it into the hole, screw on the set nut, insert battery, screw on top/button, bingo. Well worth the low price.

Exactly what I needed although it wasn't apparent that it was the right replacement for my old one. With no measurements to work from I just sort of sized it up (" . . .looks about one inch here, and about the right size here . . ." and figured it was the right one for my Charbroil Classic gas two burner. And if it wasn't it was close enough. Got here two days earlier than stated and was just like my old one. It fit perfectly. Was a breeze to install and I was cooking with gas in mere minutes. I've got friends who have gone years without replacing this or even bought a whole new grill because the spark generator went bad. Fear not, it's a 2 minute job at worst with a pair of pliers and you are back in business.

I looked for a new igniter for my Kenmore 5 burner grill after ours gave up the ghost last week. Sears wanted $39 for it and I am pretty sure that was only for one output, my grill needed two. This one did not list my grill model as being compatible but I figure if it looks like a duck, takes AAA batteries like a duck and had two places to plug in wires like a duck, it's my duck. Thankfully I was correct. Install took 30 seconds and now I don't have to look like a redneck when lighting my grill. Good buy.

What I liked the least was Broil Kings factory starter didn’t last about a half dozen lights. This was an easy replacement. Took no more than five minutes. Keep in mind. If you have two burners then there should only be two connecting wires on the back of the starter. Look at the original one before ordered to assure you buy the correct one. Remember the + on the battery is toward the removable button. Search the net for good videos as to how to replace if your not sure how to. Check your battery and wiring before buying to make sure whether to replace the starter or not.

I shopped around for this and found it beat the others by at least a few bucks. It was a good choice since it was nearly identical but looked better made (the threads were better and so was the nut and cap.) It even has a tiny set of icons on the cap that shows you the correct polarity position for the AAA battery.On my Char Broil grill It required nothing more than 10 minutes and a pair of pliers to change. It was easy to put in and brought my grill back to life. However, this is the second one I got because the first was the wrong size because I didn't realize there were multiple sizes. Make sure to check the size.

I have a char broil classic 5 burner grill model # 463211512 about 8yrs old and ignitor stopped making clicking sound... I changed the battery but still no clicking sound.. so I purchased this product to replace existing ignitor and it was PERFECT!!! I replaced the old with the new in less the 5 mins!! Perfect packaging n perfect fit.. it takes one AAA battery not included.. replaced and press button and clicking noise returned!! Simple fix and super cheap repair.. my grill has 2 outlets that plug into ignitor so be sure to check your existing ignitor before purchasing, they offer different number of outlets.. easy repair at a great price, i completely recommend!!

This was just what my grill needed. Works great but the pushbutton is a bit weak on the return spring. I wish it would have been stronger however, you have your grill lit and warming up in minutes from taking this out of the box. My existing wire connectors fit perfectly and the single hex nut clamp screwed down as expected!

Easy to install. Hooked the wires up. Pressed the button and all burners ignited.Seems well made and would be compatible for most BBQNo complaints and price is right

Item was exactly as described, I coupled it with a new gas valve and thermocouple to ensure I didn't run into any new issues. Works like new!!
