Columbia Women's Discontinued PFG Tamiami II Long Sleeve Shirt

This lightweight shirt is comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. I really appreciate the soft, tightly woven fabric, sturdy, color matched snaps, hidden zip pockets, feminine shape, length, and ventilation. Unzip the pockets to increase airflow. I removed the tag on the sunglasses loop, and used a laundry marker to tone down the branding on the sleeve and back tag. This shirt would be improved if the mesh on the interior were color matched, or at least black mesh on the black shirt. The shirt is true to size, and can be styled as a light jacket, long sleeve shirt, rolled up sleeve, tucked into high waisted pants or skirt, untucked, etc.

I've purchased this item several times from the Columbia store and have constantly been impressed. I bought this as a gift for someone. (Unfortunately, I miscalculated their size, and it was too big for them.)What I loved about this shirt is the functionality. You can roll the sleeves and there's a clasp to secure them in place. The snap buttons on the shirt are perfect and sturdy and do not unsnap easily. The fit is flattering, and the pockets are sturdy. I also love the zipping function on the shirt pockets. There is back venting which makes this a breathable shirt and perfect to wear layering or in hot conditions where you want your arms coveredMy only critique is with the velcro strap/brand on the chest pocket. I believe its to hold your rod (or something) in place. I don't need it for that purpose. And it can be a bit annoying, as is has the potential to snag on other items it comes in contact with. Despite that, I would highly recommend.

I bought this to replace an old one. It fits perfectly ( in 5’ 100lbs xs) and travels well without wrinkling. I need it for sunscreen protection so want a lightweight shirt for hot days. I have hand washed these shirts when traveling and they dry quickly. The cut is flattering, not boxy. I have bought other colors this spring and they all look as shown.

I live in southern New Mexico (US). The sun is strong here year round. I purchased this shirt to protect my sunburn prone skin even on warm days. Although it is still February, we've already experienced some unseasonable 80 degree days this year. I've been able to wear this shirt while hiking outdoors without getting a sunburn and, as an added bonus, the shirt is attractive; the color is beautiful.

I love the fit and look of this Tamiami shirt my Columbia! I am curvy, and the fit is still great. I had tried the Columbia Bahama shirt and didnt like the fit or the style on me. The Bahama one was more ‘safari’ looking and this Tamiami one looks more classic. It is lightweight, doesnt seem terribly wrinkled even right out of the pkg, although it could use steaming and will be an easy to wear shirt for upcoming warm weather and vacations. The snap closures are super easy, and the sleeves stay up with a snap as well. The reason for 4 stars is the sheerness and the Columbia tag/label on the front. There is no way I would wear this without a tank or something underneath because it is pretty thin, and it could be worn more dressy and be more stylish if the Columbia tag was not there. I would like this in more colors.

I needed a shirt exactly like this. I thought about what would be the perfect shirt to protect me from the sun and mosquitoes. It would have to be super light weight because I get hot easily. It would have to be super comfortable because I get uncomfortable easily. I searched Amazon and found this shirt, ordered it and am now absolutely loving it. Because of other review recommendations and because this shirt is fitted, and because I have long arms and large hips, and because my intention is to wear this shirt over tank tops and such, I sized up to Large although Medium would be my normal size in tops. The Large is perfect (I am about a size 10 on top and a size 14-16 on bottom.) This Columbia Tamiami II shirt is even better than what I thought up in my head as the perfect shirt. It is vented in the upper back. The snaps down the front and on the sleeve cuffs are so much better than buttons because it is so easy and quick to open and close. There are 2 zippered pockets on the left and right bottom - Wow! It is fitted so gives a woman a fashionable look. It even has a bit of a stretch to it. It is so light and comfortable, you barely even feel it against your skin. The shirt is a bit see-through (at least, the white one is) so I don't think it is best for wearing without anything underneath. You might even get away with wearing this to the office with a camisole or tank top underneath, either buttoned up, or with some buttons (actually, snaps) on top unbuttoned for a layered look. I would say, because of the pockets, this shirt is better suited for not being tucked in. If you like this shirt but are looking for something that has a relaxed fit instead, or if you are on the XL size, consider the Columbia Sportswear Women's Bahama Long Sleeve Top instead. I love the Bahama top as well and wear that one in my normal size of Medium.
