What it is

This merino wool is amazing! I was very sceptical about purchasing it, being someone who has never never or worked with wool before. But now I'm so glad a did. I researched and watched several hand knitting youTube videos (their are multiple ways to hand knit/crochet) before finally deciding to follow Bella Coco's Hand Crocheting video. I purchased 11lbs. of wool and made a runner for my king size bed. It's around 18-20 in. wide, hangs over each side or the bed about 8-10in. and is around 3in. thick. It's a total of 50 chains in length. At first I did 60 chains and it was way too long, but was very easy to pull out the chains and start again. In total it took about 3-3.5 hours to complete. It's gorgeous, super soft, much more durable than I expected and so much easier to work with than I imagined. However, I must warn that it does shed when you unravel it from from the ball. I stood at the bottom of my bed and knitted, leaving the ball and unraveled wool in the middle of the bed and it took me a good 20 mins. just to get all of the shedding off my comforter after completing the blanket. I recommend laying a couple of towels down and sitting the wool on those. I haven't noticed all shedding since completing the runner. I love it and I can't wait to order more.

I had not used merino wool before I did some research and decided to felt it in the dryer before making the blanket. This strengthened the wool and helped it not to shed as bad. It was much easier to work with after felting. Great product super soft and blanket turned out amazing.

It is a little different than the yarn but it looks beautiful so far

Great roving yarn for the project I was looking for. IF you are looking for good quality roving yarn, look no further. Does this 'pill' if not taken care of, yes but you have to understand you are working with yarn prior to it being spun. Colors are great as well.

The yarn is really pretty and bulky, but you do need to handle it with care, if you tug too hard it will break

Great product. Very soft and warm. The 8lb ball was enough for a mid-size lap blanket.

Made blanket for daughter for Christmas. Arrived quickly. Felted in dryer before working with it. Easy to work with. Fit queen bed when finished. Daughter loves it and loved the weight it gives for sleeping. Very pleased!
