Must have tool in my book
I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, steck makes fantastic autobody tools! This tool is exactly what you need for filling in holes or spot welding or just welding on old or thin metal to help absorb the heat. It's only limitation is if the tool can reach where your welding, as long as it can then it'll work. Swivel copper pad for maximum versatility. Awesome tool that works

Steck Manufacturing 23230 Plugweld Plier
I have an older pair of these and I absolutely could not do some of my sheet metal work without them. They not only hold together automotive sheet metal so that I can make my Tig welding easier for me. But I love how they work when I do need to use them. Great product and great quality. My back ground is I over six years of full time automotive sheet metal experience as well as over 20 years of doing this as a hobby.

Seem pretty decent
Though these have the typical "not quite vise-grip brand" construction to them, they aren't super junky like some others.

It works
It was small enough to plug the 1/4 inch holes and was locked in place. I would buy again.

Works like it should and allowed me to weld on sheet metal without blowing holes through it.
This tools is excellent. I'm planning on purchasing more of them so I can weld multiple rosette holes.

Great tool
Strong grip with good reach. Excellent for controlling heat when filling in bigger holes and drilled out spot welds.

Nice pliers, they fit well in you hand
Nice pliers, they fit well in you hand. Did have a small problem when I did several plugs in a row, the plastic in the lock nut on the copper pad melted due to the heat. The nut still hasn't loosened at all.
