Fence Vol. 3

I didn't expect to like these series since it's about a sporting event I am not familiar with at all, but I've really enjoyed this series. The tension is great. The interpersonal relationships between those competing for the fencing team are full of delicious drama. This third volume in the series continues the build up with little release. There seems to be a future rivals to romance trope going on, but I wish it was further along.This volume shows the parents coming to visit for the final round of matches before the competing team is announced.The team gets announced. And I'm interested to see what happens next. There's a great final panel.I continue to enjoy this series, but my excitement has dwindled. This volume wasn't quite as much of a page turner as the first one. I give this book a 3/5.

4.5 stars. How is a sports graphic novel series giving me so many feels??? The rivalry and camaraderie between all the guys grows a lot in this volume and I am now completely obsessed. I can’t even pick a favorite character or budding relationship because I love them all to pieces.

This volumes picks up where volume 2 left off in the tryout tournament. It's day 3 & time for the final rounds to see who will make the team.How will Nicholas fair in the end?

Truly want more of this series. It didn't disappoint! Who knew a story about fencing would be making me preorder again and again? Great read.

Seiji kept cracking me up during this volume. We’re starting to see the very beginnings of Seiji and Nicholas becoming something other than enemies but it’s going to be a long road. I’m looking forward to the next volume!

THE TEA IS PIPING HOT! I can’t WAIT for the next volume (being released a day before my birthday 😆🙌🏻) and I can’t wait to see what happens next with all of these characters! If you have read the past two volumes or you’ve stumbled across this by accident, it’s 100% worth splashing out (jut a little) to buy all three because once the first is over, you’ll be itching to read more! Also child friendly, it’s about fencing, people!

Things are really starting to heat up now. I am devouring every issue at light speed.

Volume 3 has all the charm and air of the first two, but it really ramps up the plot. It's the best of the 3 so far!
