Checkpoint Friendly Urban Backpack, Saddle, One Size

It is easy to discern that the backpack is made of quality materials that will wear well as it is used and ages. It just feels and looks first rate. The design engineering is well thought-out. There is an inner zippered pocket to stash important items/documents/and/or wallet, it is very checkpoint friendly, there's enough space to carry books or overnight necessities, and excellent protection is built into the computer and iPad sleeves. It is compact and comfortable to tote around. To top it off; it looks cool and can fit with the decorum of all professional venues. The owner can feel confident hauling this pack into the classroom, boardroom, or client's office as it silently screams "let's get down to work!"It's a good product reasonably priced.

I guess the first order of business is to address the pink elephant in the room...the price. Well, let me say that the price reflects what you get in the product- QUALITY! I have been searching for a leather backpack that is roomy enough for my computer, files, and personal items that I generally carry in a purse. My goal was to be able to carry it all in one convenient location while remaining hands free. This bag has the best of both worlds in that there is ample room for my "technical" and "personal" life.There was only one minor issue with this bag: a small, barely noticeable black smudge. It looks like it might be a smudge of leather stain or something like that. It's on the inside of the bag on the cloth lining. I chose not to exchange it to avoid the hassle of packing it up, going to post office, waiting for a new bag, and all the processing of credits and returns to my card. This is why I gave 4 stars. I'm going to ask the seller to give me a % discount like any retailer who sells an imperfect item.The weight is manageable. It is made of high quality leather so it's going to be heavier than other materials. I am a 5'10 female and it sits perfectly on my back. I had to let the straps out a little to adjust for my height but I feel it would accommodate shorter individuals. I don't feel it is bulky or oversized- I'd call it medium.Aside from the smudge, I'd rate this a 5 star. It was packaged in a classy fabric case and is a genuine Piel.

I wanted to love this back pack, it's super nice but it's too heavy to wear and it's too flat. I wanted it for traveling and it's fairly heavy. I suppose I will find a use for it but it's hanging out in my closet wishing I hadn't purchased it. It's a great book back for a man with a strong back. I'm a woman with a weak back, feel it's too heavy to be comfy empty; let alone when it has stuff in it.

Wonderful bag! Perfect for business and personal travel. I use this bag frequently for business. Easy to go though checkpoints, easy to carry. Leather is high quality and beautiful.

I bought this one since I really liked the shoulder bag that I have and it is Piel as well. Their leather is of good quality. I wanted a backpack that has a professional look that I could take to meetings and conferences. I did like the fact that it was checkpoint friendly. However, I was not able to bring it yet through a security check. I will try it next time on a shorter travel. This bag is big enough for a tablet, a laptop, their accessories, a book, a bottle of water, but not big enough to bring as a sole carry-on. I am also curious to find out if TSA will just let me open the bag butterfly style so I don't have to take the laptop out of the sleeve and put it in one of those plastic boxes to be scanned.

I love this backpack, but it's way darker than the picture. I had one that I bought in the store that was lighter in color and it got stolen, so I had to buy a new one. Somewhat disappointed that the color is so much darker.

Best leather backpack I have owned.. Worth the price. Beautiful leather, sturdy build, can take rough travel. Better than dozens of others I have examined over time.

i really like this backpack- it's a bit heavier than I expected, but it is great quality for the price. the leather is soft and getting softer with wear. fits a lot of stuff - I use it to commute back and forth to work on the train.
