Velcro starts wearing out fast.

I just got this thing and was extremely excited to try it on based on glowing reviews I'd read elsewhere. I sit behind a computer all day and get excruciating pain behind my left shoulderblade. This brace, I hoped, would solve my problem. I've now had it on two days, and it is simply not helping. No matter what position I adjust the straps to, it doesn't really pull back my shoulders all that much. I thought it would prevent me from slouching, but in fact I find it much more comfortable to slouch in this thing than to sit up straight. That doesn't seem right. The only good thing so far is that, because I never stop being aware of having something strapped to me, it's a constant reminder that I should be paying attention to sitting up straight. Hence the two stars. But then, after a period of sitting up straight, I get an additional pain behind my other shoulder blade as well. So: constant discomfort, and more not less aches and pains. I'm desperate so will keep this thing on for another week but so far this is not working as it should. If you are like me and were hoping for instant relief, get another product.Regarding chafing: I wear a thin TS under this, and that is not much of a problem. I suspect some people for whom the chafing is a big problem might just be wearing it inside out.Regarding wearing it under clothes unnoticed: that seems a stretch. The straps are bulky on the shoulders and really show through anything light like a sweater or a shirt. Maybe underneath a very bulky sweater or if you wear a blazer this thing might be invisible.

I bought this in white thinking it would blend better under clothing - you can not wear this under clothing. It chafes horribly and my shoulders and underarms are covered in angry red marks. If you wear it over your clothes, it's much more comfortable, but you look like a mental patient. Maybe I would have looked less awful if I'd gotten in it black...It seems to do what it advertises - it does keep my shoulders back. But the velcro and straps are too uncomfortable to wear. Maybe I'll try it over a blouse, and a jacket over that... you'll still see the front strap though. Can't win here!
