Work just fine with quasar T8!
Are they worth $30? No but I got 4 of them for a cost of $8+ each which is a steal. They are made of aluminum with rubber feet on metal clamps and i attached it to my T8 Quasar and twirled it around, hung it upside down for hours and the thing doesn't even budge. Those who are having issues are doing so with user error, and that's just the truth. These clamps are made to hold the light dead center, not from either end which causes a bigger load on the clamp These clamps are friction based so once the force applied to the clamp is more than the friction applied, yes your light is going to fall. If you want to clamp on the ends then you clamp one on each end, if you just want to extend it and not from the center then you buy longer extensions arms, don't try to use this thing heavy on one end with extension cables then blame the clamp lol. User error. In fact the T8 Quasars are a bit heavier towards the dummy end. Great clamp. Will buy again.

Don't buy unless you want your T8 to fall to the ground!
Quasar tube does not work well with this item. I was using it yesterday during a very important shoot. We had to tape the light instead to a c-stand because the light kept falling off. Pretty embarrassing! High profile shoot with an NBA player too.

Great little rig
Great little hardware rig for my quasar T8 lights. When I need to rig a quick solo fixture on a C-stand or pancake, this is my go-to.

Good not great
Mistakenly bought these in hopes it would fit my T12 Quasar tubes but then switched out the clips for the appropriate size. Simple design but only flaw is the screw that connects the bracket bar to the baby pin comes loose very quickly and I constantly retightening it. Bought two, shipped quickly but came in two separate packages though.

Not for Quasar lights
I bought this to specifically hokd the quasar lights and this one fails to do it. It hold on slightly but the clamps are just too small for the quasar. Don't even attempt to do it unless you tape it in place

Do not buy - dropped my Nanlite right to the floor
This worthless clamp (made of the cheapest flimsy plastic ever created) just dropped my 4’ Nanlite tube on the floor. Just literally fell right out. This thing is the absolute worst. I tried to save a few dollars and should have just bought the Mathews MQ mounts. What were Hot Rod Cameras thinking? Thought they were supposed to be a pro shop but they put their name on this trash?
