An Edited Review
I am editing my initial one-star review. It appears that the first box I received was not as bold as advertised. However, subsequent boxes I received in the same delivery were just divine. The coffee is bold and smooth without the offensive burnt taste that many bolder coffees contain. The flavor is superb, with the right amount of bitterness that lingers on the tongue.I have gone through three boxes and only the first was not up to par. Perhaps this was a one time problem. I would definitely reorder. FOUR STARS because of the first box. Here's my original one-star review:This coffee is not bold tasting in a good coffee mouthfeel sense. There is no coffee aroma. There is practically no flavor whatsoever, with an acidic bitter finish. I have had much better artisanal coffee available through Amazon. I have had much better coffee at fast food joints. Extremely disappointing purchase.

High quality and inexpensive coffee in recyclable k cups.
I've been a fan of pod type coffee makers, specifically Keurig, for quite some time. The biggest problem I've had with them, is the lack of good coffee in recyclable K Cups. There simply is NO source of recyclable k cups in the supermarkets in my area. EkoCups has solved that issue for me. Unsure if I'd like it, or not, I first bought a sample pack to give me an overview of their products. I'm not a fan of flavored coffee, and I didn't like those offerings, but virtually everything else was VERY good!I've deiced that EkoCups Bold will be my daily 'go to' coffee for my 2-3 cups a day habit. I would describe it as a medium roast that is roasted longer than medium but not so long to fully qualify for a 'Dark' roast. I find the flavor quite mellow. I don't know if this is a blend or a single sourced coffee, but there is a very natural, fruity, flavor with vague hints of, maybe, cocoa, and a sweetness to it.I'm training myself to drink coffee black with a small amount of Stevia in it (Non Dairy creamers give you "coffee stink" breath, and are full of bad stuff like fat). This coffee doesn't need creamer IMO. It's very good, as is, I'm considering dropping the stevia too.EkoCups can expect to have me as a long time customer.

Great coffee, what happened to Subscribe & Save???
I like these coffee pods. I looked hard to find a recyclable kcup with good, strong but not bitter coffee, and this fit the bill. It took a little while to figure out how to push the paper filter full of coffee out of the cup so that I could recycle the cup, but once I got my system down it was fine (and easier than some others I’ve tried). However, I’m disappointed because I was doing Subscribe & Save for these kcups, and suddenly that’s no longer an option. I’m not sure if this flavor is being discontinued by the ekocups Brand (I hope not), or just some other supply problem. But it really annoys me when I subscribe to a product, especially after a bunch of research, only to have that option disappear after a few months (it’s happened a few times). Amazon, please get the Bold cups back if you can!!

Great coffee
Excellent coffee. Very happy and will reorder. I also wanted to thank the reviewer who gave us a heads up about pushing the K Cup down on to the piercing mechanism so that we don't ruin our expensive Keurigs.

Excellent Coffee for a Keurig
If you use a Keurig and like strong coffee, Eko Cups is the way to go. Specifically, the Bold blend was very good. It's not my favorite (strong) but it certainly did its part. If you're used to getting the San Francisco Bay Coffee, this is another brand you'll want to try. Their coffee brews stronger than SF Bay.The recyclable container is very easy to use. It's not perfect, but that's because the wet coffee sticks to the container. That's no one's fault.

Surprisingly thick, tough plastic pods
If using with a Hamilton Beach 49995R maker.... you will need to assist the pod to puncture at base....Coffee is okay. Some what bitter and yet strong enough for me to be a 'dark' roast. I like it enough to drink it.The pod is the issue. This does not work with my Hamilton Beach 49995R maker. The pod's plastic cup is too thick for the triangular piercer to puncture at the bottom/base. After I press it down for an indentation for a template cut, I then use a scissor to cut out the needed v shaped hole. The top punctures as expected with no issue.

Best seller for the Coffee Fund
I manage the coffee fund for a group of about 75 people. They put $0.75 in a jar for an individual Ekocup, which let's me recoup the coffee cost as well as supply cream and sugar. This brand is by far their favorite, both in Bold and Lite versions. Both types have excellent flavor using the 12 oz pour. We have a standard Keurig, nothing fancy, and these work like a charm- no mess and a quick brew. We've tried a lot of other brands, mostly searching for recyclable containers. None of them had as good a flavor, and price point, as the Ekocups.

Not acidic! Bold flavor. And tasty too!!!
I love coffee. I'm a connoisseur (in my world) and tried this for the first time today. Coffee-nothing beats the aroma of it. The taste of it. The swirl of it on the taste buds while re-prioritizing my day, if possible in my day-planner, just to have- one more cup of this particular jo. EkoCups will be hearing from me often enough!
