Great no-carb addition to stir frys, have been using it forever
OK, it' not really rice and you're never going to think it is, more like small noodle balls. It's a little pricey for seaweed but it is such a specialty item. There is no apparent taste once it is washed off and cooked/coated in stir fry sauce. Stands up pretty well as a leftover. It is much easier to mix into stir frys than long noodle versions.

Perfect if you can’t have carbs!
I enjoy this as a rice substitute. They are like small pearl size pasta. A little bit of a chew but not much.I rinse and cook 3x longer than suggested.I add salt, a bit of garlic powder, parsley flakes, or other spice and it takes great to me.Would I rather have rice......maybe.

Disappointed
This could be just what someone needs or enjoys, but I didn't care for the smell, taste, or texture. Unfortunately, it's pricey and even though you can return all the unopened packets, you have to pay shipping on this heavy package so it's not worth it. Disappointing. Sometimes new things are worth a try, I just wish I had passed on this one.

Interesting Taste
I like this product. It’s very similar to rice. I’d rather use it in creating a mixture… say like shrimp fired rice. Doc Colb!

Seller Vitacost misled product good
Product is 5 stars, however seller, Vitacost advertises product to be a 6 pack (6 x 8oz cost .03/oz.) Price was low but daughter had just bought some for just a few dollars more with free shipping so I was pretty excited to get some for myself! So I tried to order 10 packages but was told they only had 6, so I ordered all 6. I was surprised when the order came today and it contained only 6 BAGS not 6 packs of 6 bags each. On the plus side I have eaten 3 bags of the stuff and love it! I'm diabetic but haven't checked my # before and after to confirm that it doesn't cause any spikes. I cooked onions and garlic in some oil, added mushrooms and then the 'rice' with some chicken broth. Was Great with some grilled chicken or without it.UPDATE: Vitacost reversed charges within 24hrs. Sent apology letter and told me to keep the product because of their mistake.

Flavor neutral, texture is odd
This stuff is weird...like eating boba as a dish. It beats awful cauliflower rice that gives a stank taste to everything, but the texture is difficult to overcome. Once I did, though, I appreciated how easily it substituted for rice's function, without interferring with the main dish's flavor.Tofu rice seems like a more natural substitute...does anyone make such a thing?

Big Help In Cutting Calories/Carbs
When you just must have rice for a favorite dish, but cannot have it any more due to health concerns, this is the answer. Easy to use, picks up flavor from whatever is put on it, but totally calorie-free.

Nerp...
Super expensive for 6 packs of water with some gelatin-like "rice" that have absolutely NO taste. One of these packets is supposed to feed two? Hah!Honestly, I thought this stuff was going to be dry and needing to be boiled like rice. I was reading/searching so many different types/brands and most said "ready to eat", these did not. This brand, like most keto brands, are taking advantage of the keto lifestyle and raising prices sky high. It's outrageous and there's no way I'm paying this much for 97% water! Brands like this should be ashamed of themselves taking advantage of people that are trying to be healthy.
