Collected Poems 1912-1944 (H.D.)

Okay I’m not rating the contents of the book here but rather just the physical book itself– it came slightly damaged. The cover is bent and that really sucks cause I like to try and keep my books in good condition. The edges are also a little bent. It’s not a major issue but it’s really annoying considering it could’ve been avoided if the packaging was slightly better. Literally some bubble wrap is all that was needed.

Collected poems by HD is an excellent book of petry. No matter how much you think you know poetry, this one author and many more who have much to say, are never included in the high school anthologies. If you're serious about poetry, this is an author to follow up on. Her poetry , as well as her life, are extraordinary

HD is a late discovery for me. Love her imagery. Also recommend Helen in Egypt also by HD. A wonderful supplement to Homer's Illiad.

The only way to improve upon this volume would be to include "Helen in Egypt" in the next edition. Then it would be truly complete, and truly perfect, fit to sail unto the unfix-ed Stars!
