This review is from my 9 year old son who was very excited to read this book as soon as it came out after reading the previous 52 fiction books and all the non-fiction companion guides:It can be hard to understand the first few chapters. As the story goes on it gets exciting. It is different from the previous books- their mission is a different type than what they did in the Merlin or Morgan missions.SPOILER WARNING: They are looking for a main character from the Merlin missions in WWII

My grandson and I really enjoyed this book on CD
My grandson and I really enjoyed this book on CD. We listen in the car and he pays great attention. We've listened to many Magic Tree House audio books and I think it has drastically improved his listening skills - or at least demonstrated that he can hear and remembers what he hears. I'm looking forward to more of these longer stories reflecting more mature subject matter. My grandson is 14 demonstrates Asberger Syndrome behaviors amongst other things. He is much smarter than his school work demonstrates and much more capable then he would have you know. He learns easily from what he sees and hears.

Great book
I have read all of the Magic Tree House books to my son. We are always waiting for new books in the series to come out. This new Super Edition is an excellent book. I believe that all of the books that Mary Pope Osbourne has written are excellent. They all offer history lessons that are very educational to youngsters. They are well researched, and very entertaining. My son loves these books, and I really enjoy reading them to him. This book opens a window into what it was like during WW2 in France.

Great new series!
My son said he really liked this book. He said the chapters are longer and the book itself is longer than the "regular" MTH books but he liked the story and can't wait for the next one to come out! This is an awesome series and we are always happy that even the brand new books already have the A.R. (accelerated reader) tests available for testing at school. It is so great to have your child develop a love of reading and Mary Pope Osborne's series has greatly contributed to that affinity.

Great fiction companion
I use this in class like all the Magic Tree books. Good balance of fiction and non fiction reading that the students love.

Horray on new series for older children!
Our eight year old son has read almost all of the Magic Treehouse books and we're all so happy that he's able to continue to read new stories as he grows older. Such a great idea that she decided to write for older children. He's hoping he writes a series for teenagers by the time that he's a teenager!

Love this series!
My daughter LOVES this series, we have been reading it since kindergarten and I have to admit, I love them as well! She is in first grade now and re-reads the collection on her own. Highly recommend.

My daughter loves it,even if I think she is a little bit small (6 years) to understand all. But it was good because it was the first time we talked about the big world war. I bought also the audio book.
