Greenes Fence Premium Cedar Raised Garden Bed, 8' x 8' x 16.5" U-Shaped Bed - Made in USA with North American Cedar

These are great! Easy to assemble and very sturdy! I bought two of the largest version, but still have to add the additional end sections. Each 2x4 section holds 8 cubic feet of garden soil; 1 cubic foot of composted manure; 1 cubic foot of hardwood mulch. The 4x4 section holds double that amount. I used a total of 48 bags of 2 cubic feet of garden soil for the set up in the photos. In the Q&A, there were different answers regarding the capacity. I like these so well that I plan to purchase two more large sets in the Spring. The only downside was filling them, which was very time consuming, hard work. They're worth it!

The only thing I didn’t like is the way some of the side boards are warping. Hopefully when we get the dirt in them they will even out. We love the look and are excited for years of growing vegetables!

I bought several of these and they show up quickly. Durable? Yes. Height? Perfect. Cost? a bit scary. I could make them or could use other block and lumber combinations but, these are visible and because they are Cedar, I expect durable. You can move them too if you are willing to move the dirt too. Very pretty and age well. I'm happy to have them and they set up easily and you can make some cool combinations. My 4-star value is probably 3.5 (I try to be thriftier) but was wanting to get off the ground quickly. It worked I am back to gardening after 10 years off.

It was hard to find cedar in the amounts we needed to build our own garden boxes so we looked into pre-fabricated ones like this. Turns out after buying all the boards from the lumbar yard and materials it was about the same price. We ordered the 8'x12'x16.5" size garden. Three boxes showed up but one box said "4 of 4" so we knew we should have gotten four boxes. We emailed Greenes through Amazon and after looking into the issue they determined that FedEx messed up the address on one of the boxes so they sent the box we needed right away. Living in Michigan we get a lot of rain and since it is untreated wood, I ended up painting the boards with a transparent waterproofing stain to extend the life. What I like about the boxes is that they are so versatile. We ended up changing the configuration so that we had (2) 4'x4' boxes and (5) 2'x4' boxes. I wanted larger boxes for larger plants like zucchini. Overall we are very happy with our purchase.

After years of wanting to build a raised garden, we finally decided to do it after seeing this kit online. It is incredibly well-made and designed, sturdy, and attractive. We actually stacked two kits, one on top of the other, to make a garden you could use without bending over. Very pleased with the garden, and very pleased with our purchase!

The media could not be loaded.  Instead of the U shape we made one side extra long so the plants could get more sunlight and so we could access the beds easily with the space we have. They were extremely easy to build (no tools, the boards just slid into place) and I would recommend using sticks/logs/compost to fill a majority of the beds because they are pretty deep. All and all would recommend!

This was easy to put together and looks great once planted. I’m a little concerned about durability though as the wood panels are thinner than I expected. Cedar is durable but I can see this warping over time. Might be fine, it’s too early to tell as I’ve only had it a couple of months.

Set it up in about an hour with the help of my strong husband. A few of the boards were pretty stubborn but the concept to put it together was simple enough. My garden is growing! Its tall enough to keep the bunnies out for the most part. It is big! It needs a lot of dirt to fill them!
