5" X 4" Duct Reducer & Increaser Non-Crimped Single Wall Galvanized Sheet Metal ducting Connector for Airflow, Heating, Cooling, & air Ventilation Systems Fittings

I got this duct to give a way for hot air to escape from my water heater. This does a perfect job and is galvanized, so leaving it outside is no problem whatsoever. It has held up great so far and I have no complaints.

Perfect reduction fitting, fits well, good weight/thickness of metal. 5" to a 4" or 4" to a 5" either way this one works well.NOTE: If you appreciated this review please give it a “thumbs up/like” your helping me to continue to give honest/unbiased insight into products I’ve used and you may have questions about. Worked extremely well to connect my Delta 14" bandsaw dust port to a vacuum attachment. Had the typical problem where the port on my bandsaw was 5" and couldn't figure out how to hook it up. Went with one of these and had to pop the outermost rivet to get it to fit over the 5" output as they are the same size and then sealed it up with Foil Duct tape. Worked like a charm and used a 10' 4" powertec dust collection hose (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005VRVGUA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s02) with a 4" to 2.5" reducer (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000223YJ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s03) to connect it to my shop vac. Works great and helps keep the project dust down as I don't have a central dust collection system setup.

This product itself in a fine piece of metal reducery, however it did not work for the application I purchased it for. This was through no fault of this product but the complete lack of measuring ability on my part. I have enrolled myself in a 16 week tape measure reading course at the local community college in hopes to eliminate this problem in the future.

I could not believe this...I move in to an apartment that has W/D hook ups but the vent opening coming out of the wall was 2 inches larger than the 4 inch diameter flexable vent material. I needed an adapter. Well I went to 3 (count 'em) 3 HOME DEPOT type stores, I looked high and LOWE (s) and thru the ORCHARD too. None of them had adapters, the sales persons (???) looked quite puzzled when I expained my dilemma. Well doncha know I GOOGLED it and guess where I found it!! I should have known...Amazon has EVERYTHING!!!

It fit, but the measurements seemed a little on the small side of what was reported

Mediocre quality with leaky seams and pop rivets. Worse where the 4" piece fits the rivet didn't go through the mating piece. Instead it just bends that part out of the way making a defect it will cost more in time and effort to correct than the cost of this adapter. Poor quality control in a too rushed production process IMHO. I hope I remember to avoid TAACS as a supplier from here on out.

This worked perfect for our Dust Collector. Connected perfectly to the 5" input of the dust collector, and then the 4" reduced section connected to our 4" plastic house coupling.
