We have only used this pump for a week but I have had others like it in the past.We have two sump pumps in our basement and they run 85% of the time and go through hundreds if not thousands of revolution’s per their lifetime.This pump has the weight to stay in place yet is easy enough to install.The best feature is that this pump unlike many others is that you can “clean the impeller”Finally someone done this right.Very happy with the price and weight of this pump.this will last for a long time.Oh, and our other pump like this one…9 years it ran.

works great for an outdoor sump pit. its more power than I need for the heaviest rains - it runs every minutes or so. I appreciated that it is rated to pump out some light solids as water from exterior french drains can be muddy.

My parents old Little Giant was 15 years old. It stopped working so we purchased this new one. We took out the old one and realized a rock was just stuck in it. Took the rock out and it is working perfectly. We are keeping this on as a spare. The old one is as strong as it was the day it was new. I suspect we will never use this new one. Great product. When you need a sump pump you need it to be dependable. This is expensive but you get what you pay for.

Super easy to install

Threads were uncomplete (cast but not cut) on outlet, had to cut mating pipe short to thread to the seat.Previous unit lasted 19 years.

The long length cord fit the job perfectly.

This product arrived in its original box, banged up, torn, with multiple previous shipping labels. Amazon had repacked it in an even bigger box, apparently because of the poor condition of the original box. No telling how long the float switch assembly had been broken, or what other issues might exist. I talked with Little Giant customer service and they said they could replace the part but recommended I just return the entire pump as quality of other parts might be an issue. Never attempted installation so can't speak to the noise level or the ease/lack of ease to install. Little Giant is a reputable company, and I ordered another pump from Amazon. Am hoping Amazon sends one in excellent condition in the original packing. No repacking should be necessary.

My sump pump died ( I now have an alarm to notify me if the water comes up -BEFORE the floor level) and I needed to replace it. As my RED colored pump died within 3 days (thankfully I got a partial refund as I couldn't find the receipt-Princess Auto) I wanted a REAL pump, NOT a crappy one. As I have had a Little Giant pump in my pond , and it has stayed there for YEARS (even during winter, mind you a plug underwater gets corroded so I had to fix that with solder and shrink tube insulation) THEREFORE I bought a REPUTABLE pump that should be able to last for a LONG time.
