Wonderful stories giving insight to Santa Claus. Each "chapter" is short and a very easy read. Some really nice illustrations are in this book, also!

my family had this book when I was a little girl. or maybe a little older than a little girl. and I would read it to my little sisters and we would dwell over each and every reporter-style story--where mrs. claus came from, how the elves get the toys made, how he makes it around the world in one night, the mysteries surrounding the reindeer. then early one morning, just before christmas, we were watching katie couric interview santa on the today show. as he answered her questions, our eyes nearly popped out of our heads, because everything he said was in the book. my little sisters nearly came unglued realizing that this was the real santa.i've tried to get this for my little ones for the last several years, but since it is now out of print, it's a little hard to come by. finally, i got on it in october and landed a really nice hardback copy from a dealer for $24.99--a steal, really.great pictures, great stories, great theory and answers--i can't wait for my sons to open this up during advent and start in on the adventure.

I bought this decades ago to read to my young children. It's fabulous. Sent this copy to my granddaughter this Dec and my daughter will carry on the tradition of reading it to her.

I have no idea when this book came into my life - I can't remember a time without it. But for years, it was the first thing I dug out of the Christmas stuff in the attic sometime mid-November, and didn't put it down until it was time to go back in the box in January. It's still at my parent's house, and I go straight for it everytime I visit during the Christmas season. This book reads like a factual reference book on Santa, his history, the North Pole, the elves, reindeer, and everything associated with Christmas. Perkes is an amazing writer, and even the most jaded adult will begin to believe in Santa Clause all over again. The illustrations are beautiful, and the stories imaginative and funny and informative all at the same time. I am so grateful that I had this book in my life when I was growing up, and I can't wait to share it with my kids when I have them. I finally ordered my own copy of the book, and can't wait to receive it!

I have snippets of memories of flipping through a Santa book when I was younger. I remember it being my go-to source to answer any questions I might have, and I read bits and pieces every Christmas, but could never remember what it was called to track down a copy for my own kids to enjoy. As soon as I saw the cover, I knew this was it! I love this book! What's more, it stands the test of time. I gave a copy to my kids last night and we read the first two sections. They're hooked, and I love it! It keeps the magic of Santa of alive for them, and in our house, as long you believe, he will always be real ;)

This book is the best authority - tongue in cheek— on the history of Santa Claus. It is a key component of celebrating the holidays reading to my kids for past 25 years since they were young and now with my grandkids. Bought to one to replace ours which was getting a little worn.

Great book. My 8 year old grandson loves it. He's at the age 'Do I believe or not' and after reading it to him he seems to be swaying towards believing. Was in excellent condition too.

20年以上前に買った初版本がボロボロになり、新しいのを探し、ようや再販になったことを知り購入しました。やっぱり、いいです。フルカラーで絵も多めで素敵なのですが、絵本と呼ぶには文字は多いので、小さい子というよりは小学校くらいのお子さんにオススメです。サンタさんの生い立ちから、現在の生活、1年間の過ごし方、サンタさんの周りの登場人物たち（トナカイや小人さん）の説明まで。サンタさんの全てが書かれていると言っても過言ではありません。リアルなサンタワールドに浸りたい方にオススメです。
