BUFF Multifunctional Neckwear CoolNet UV 360° Reflective Worn 12+ Ways

I bought this with the goal to protect myself from the sun in California. But even in 60-80'F weather, hiking downhill or bicycling (wind) the white "CoolNet" Buff is way too warm. I keep sweating and overheating. It is probably a bit too thick, but also it does not cool like some of my bicycling fabric. Otherwise it is nicely made and would probably work well in winter.Added after ordering more stuff:If you do not need SPF 50 take a look at the "Huk Kscott Trophy Gaiter" B07H115H2N. The SPF is unspecified but material similar material to the Buff. The mouth area is is a coarser weave and more breathable than Buff. The most breathable so far are the "Wind Goal" B07S9JZHBC shipped inexpensively from China. They look like they provide at best single digit sun protection, but I am willing to experiment (better to wear say SPF 4 than not wear SPF 50).

I should've read the comments before ordering. The buff is fine, though its NOT like my real Buff. This is definitely a China product knock off. The buff was not in a package like the real Buff ones. It just came in an envelope. I also didn't pay attention of where it was shipped from. But I did get the color I wanted and the material is fine and it stretches. I was hoping it was thinner as my real Buff is a summer time one that I really like as its a lot cooler to wear. But I'll keep this one and will pay better attention the next time I order another real Buff.

While I initially purchased this Buff gaiter to protect my neck from sunburn while gardening, I quickly discovered I could pull it up over my nose and mouth as a makeshift mask for pollen or coronavirus. Material is lightweight and comfortable. Washes easily. Comes in dozens of colors and patterns.

I have sailed competitively for years, only recently have I begun doing so in Florida. In this sun a Buff is survival gear. Don't believe me? Have some sunburn on the back of your neck. In addition to keeping the sun off your neck they are versatile and protect your face, head, scalp, etc. You can stretch them to cover just about anywhere you need them. I'll be ordering more as it's a good idea to have extras on hand for those who need or just to keep some clean ones handy.

I bought this to wear over my curly hair at night. However it's too loose and won't stay on. I guess my head is too small

Just received my Buff product but have already put it to use cycling (to keep the sun off my neck) and as a face covering when going out in public (following local recommendations due to COVID-19 conditions). It's light weight allows ample airflow so it has not seemed hot or overly restrictive trying to breath through it for longer periods of time. Looking forward to putting it to use in other applications as well (running, hiking, motorcycle riding, etc.).

Despite being a big headband type you can scrunch up and wear different ways, this thing alwaaaays slip off my head. I have a bob hair cut and tried to use this to wrap my hair up for a shower or a workout since I can’t do a pony tail and it would just slip off since no grip on it. The fabric is great tho, ended up using on dog walks as a scarf and pull up the front to my nose, it was easy to breathe under.

It's like wearing nothing on your head. May as well use air. Or toilet paper. Can't think of anything thinner and more useless. I have two regular buff uv. Normal fabric. Chinese tubes from ebay are also good for a fraction of this.... Absolutely useless. Returned.

I used this when I went through my 8, yes 8, day labour. Kept my hair out of my face and sweat out of my eyes without slipping off my head.It kept my head cool as well. Didn’t cause itchiness under the band.Plus, I looked kinda put together for all the people and photos that paraded in after the baby arrived.I know these are made for extreme or outdoor sports, but hey, what’s more extreme than labour?!?
