This series is excellent for reluctant readers. The choice, picture, and typically non-fiction subject matter are engaging. Great as a high-low choice book as well. 4 stars because - with the choice aspect, readers have the ability to choose the shortest possible end to the book.

For someone who doesn't know about Katrina, this is a great way to learn about it, but if you already know about Katrina, it's pretty obvious which choices are the good ones and which will lead to death
