No turbo, but a great controller
Mine arrived a day early (thanks Amazon!) so I was able to spend a few delightful hours on Saturday night playing some old Genesis classics, everything from Sonic to NBA Jam to Super Hang On to shooters like Steel Empire and run 'n guns like Mega Turrican and Gunstar Heroes. This is a wonderful controller. It feels great in the hand. The D-pad feels great and is super tight and responsive. The buttons feel great and have a satisfying tactile feel when pressing. The controller is cool looking, too, and I like the official Sega branding. This may be sacrilegious, but I then used this controller to play some Nintendo games like Contra and Over Horizon, and SNES titles like UN Squadron. Great experience.Negatives are a lack of Turbo. If I could buy this same controller, with Turbo, for $5-$10 more, I'd do it in a heart beat. Also, the cord, while plenty long, could be more flexible and supple. Given the bargain price, I can't dock a star for either of these minor issues. This is a great controller for the price.I've accumulated several controllers, all of which are a mix of pros and cons - Xbox 360 (D-pad is mediocre at best), Xbox Elite (nice, better D-pad but is very heavy and I have found that compatibility can be problematic and the price was exorbitant), Dualshock 4 (Great controller, very nice d-pad, but need a 3rd party app like input Mapper to get it to work with Windows), and the 8bitdo N30 pro 2 (very nice wireless controller, has Turbo, D-pad is a bit too small, L &R buttons are awkward to use). This controller may be my new go-to controller for Retro games. It has my favorite D pad out of the ones I just mentioned. And while the lack of wireless could be considered a downside, wired also can result in less latency/input lag while also increasing the "it just works" factor.Overall I'm very happy to have added this to my controller arsenal. It will be my go-to retro controller, especially for Genesis. And the shoulder buttons make it a perfect Sega Saturn controller as well. Price is very fair as this is a well-built and well-executed piece of tech. I just wish it had turbo for certain shooters but this controller is excellent. Happy gaming!

The Perfect Sega Genesis/Saturn 8 Button USB Controller
The weight, feel, buttons, and d-pad, all feel ultra premium, like day one original Sega second generation Genesis/Mega Drive controllers. With a bonus of shoulder buttons and an extra button labeled “mode”, so you can use this controller for Sega Saturn emulation as well. This controller works natively with the Blast 16 Project, and when using the “mode” button as the software “hotkey” button, it makes the interface switching, save/load states, exit game, etc commands, work wonderfully. This controller would also work perfectly for other 6-8 button games like classic arcade and mame titles. As an added bonus, the controller includes a hefty 10 feet of cable, so you can easily sit very far away from your console/computer.I really can’t think of any cons for this product, it is tough to find a good, reliable, yet durable controller with all the extra modern features all in one package. This product is a dream come true.I would recommend to the manufacturer to make the Sega Saturn controller with a mode button, I would have preferred to buy that controller, but it lacked the mode button that this has. I do prefer the hand feel of the Japanese Sega Saturn controller, so I would have purchased that one if it had the exact same functions that this Sega Genesis controller. If Retro-Bit releases an updated Sega Saturn controller with the mode button design, I would look forward to reviewing that product as well. All in all, a terrific, quality product.

Exactly as Advertised, Very Pleased
Very satisfied with this controller, works great on both my Sega Mini and Mini2 retro consoles. Button inputs seem flawless and responsive as well with the D-Pad just like we used to expect from the original controllers we remember from the 90's. Seems sturdy with good quality for the right price point on this sort of product. Time will tell if it holds up but we used ours on day one for a good solid 5-6 hours with both sega consoles and it held up to alot of button mashing Fun!! 😀 Highly recommend this product.

What hardcore SEGA fans have wanted for decades.
One week review so far for the see-through blue USB gamepad --- This is an excellent controller for emulating games on PC and Android. Your mileage may vary depending on the emulator and how it handles USB controllers, but for most systems that can handle this type of button and d-pad layout, you can't do much better. The extra L & R buttons at the top are a welcome addition, and work well for GBA, GBC, SNES configurations as needed. The build quality and the extra long cord are solidly manufactured parts. This controller FEELS just like the original 2nd gen Sega Genesis/Mega Drive controllers (not the smaller little kid ones), and the d-pad is PRECISE. Fighting games and any version of Tetris you want to throw at it across platforms works exactly as you input it. I could not comprehend any lag that would affect my input and reactions. I will update when I have more Android, PC Steam and other console games tried out. The packaging that it comes in is high quality and makes you momentarily think they had a time machine and teleported the controller to your hands. Retro-Bit needs to build in Flash USB memory or a MicroSD card slot, so we can take some games with us no matter what computer we decide to play on.Edit Update: Still a great controller for PC game emulation. As with any controller, some games or emulators may not always cooperate, but when it does… it is perfect. Master System and Genesis games are great with it, in addition to NES, Atari 2600/7800, MSX/MSX2, and SNES (the added L & R buttons help) games are too!

Very good!
Blue is my favourite colour! I also love it even more due to the fact that this is a transparent shell, I love those. The Sega controllers are better suited for fighting games than Nintendo’s own. The d-pad does slightly press in the middle (almost barely with Saturn) but you don’t notice that during play. Regardless of d-pad (as long as it’s all one piece 4 or 8, the PlayStation d-pad sucks for fighters, thank god for alternatives and I strictly use FG-specific controllers to play those), you can pull off those certain moves (some I complain are too hard to pull off) with the right buttons (having 6 to 8) and the right controller. I still prefer the Saturn one though. It works great on the systems it was compatible with, I had fun with it on my PS3 beating SOTN, on my Switch I use it to play Arcade Archives and whatever Genesis titles are on it, on my PC I use it to play Melty Blood on Steam and mess with MUGEN and had the best experience with the Genesis Mini (despite it not saying on the box, same goes for Saturn), that mode button? So convenient! Now I don’t have to get off my butt and hit the reset button like I did with my SNES Classic (unless if you have the classic controller), now I can beat Comix Zone with it. Too bad the Genesis Mini doesn’t have a reverse feature like the SNES Mini does. Overall it’s a great product, if you are a Sega fan or a fighting game fan or a retro gamer in general, consider picking this up!

Third time's the charm
I bought this controller to replace the cheap ones that came with my super retrocade, I had already bought the kiwitata and hyperkin scout USB controllers and both had issues but fortunately this controller is excellent, the D-pad and buttons all feel great and are very responsive! The price is a little higher than the other two that I mentioned, but in terms of quality you get what you pay for! I'm planning on picking up a second one so that me and my wife can play together, I'd definitely recommend this controller to anyone who needs a USB controller for playing retro games
