No more foggy visor! Pricey, but fit and finish is perfect.
Always had a problem with condensation in my helmet, especially when I'm riding home at night. Even more so now that the weather has dipped into even lower temps.Good friend recommended that I get one of these, and at first didn't understand what this was or how it worked. It's essentially a piece of clear plastic with a silicone bead around it. You stick the beaded side onto the inside of the visor, and it prevents your visor from fogging up.Was a little hesitant because the price is high, but went with it anyways.Installed in 3 minutes, and I must say.. it's definitely worth it. First ride home that night, and no more foggy visor. It works well, and is very lowkey. Very hard to tell that you even have it on! Would definitely recommend!PS: There's a warning on the cover that tells you that the pinlock does reduce some visibility. They don't recommend you riding with it on at night as it reduces vision by 20%. I however though don't have a problem with this, but wanted to let yall know.

Works like a charm
Somewhat tricky to install only because I thought it was going to bend but once in place it works just as it should. No chance of fogging up the lens.

Fog free again.
This is my second pin lock I’ve purchased for my GT Air. I only purchased this one because I purchased a new visor, and my old one was around 4 years old and used for commuting so it had signs of wear. It looks perfect and was easy to install. They make such a difference in your visor fogging up, you won’t be able to ride without one if you try it.

Fog be gone.
Easy instalation. Have to make sure that you dont really touch it so both sides stay nice and clean. This piece will make a huge difference, no more cracking open your helmet at every light becouse it fogged up. Works like a charm.

Minor Mod Req for non-Shoei Visor
I had to use an exacto blade to slice out a hair line in both sides where it latches to get it to fit in the **non-Shoei** dark smoke visor. But it works, no fog in 35-40f with all vents closed so considering what I saved buying this and the visor I’d say it’s well worth it. Very easy to modify it and just takes a second.

I can see even more clearly now the fog is gone
They do work. I was a bit skeptical, what can an extra layer of plastic do to battle morning’s fog and mouth breathing, well I’ll be darned, it works as advertised

Important safety modification in winter months
If you ride in any weather below about 60 degrees Fahrenheit, you'll be wondering why you didn't get a Pinlock-equipped helmet sooner. Install is a little tricky- I was scared I was going to snap my visor lens in half trying to wrestle the Pinlock shield into place on its hanger pins. However, it only took about 5 minutes of finagling to save me many miles of suffering a fogged lens.I haven't experienced any problems with excessive glare- note that I installed this Pinlock shield on my Shoei Photochromic lens, so that may have something to do with it.

Expensive but indispensable
If you've never tried pinlock and are considering it, just get one and never look back. You already committed to a Shoei - might as well go a bit further and experience total luxury. If you don't like it, don't buy another. (You'll like it.) No more holding your breath at stop signs or opening all the vents in freezing temps. The seal does seem to leak a bit after a few years, but a new replacement always performs like magic.

Works
Took a couple of days to arrive. Easy to fit: probably 30 seconds. My first ride with it was my morning commute in 7 degrees, with flooded fields and mist, followed by a short trip through town stopping at numerous traffic lights. I never needed to lift the visor, and it never fogged up. Excellent. The only slight draw back is "ghost images" of headlights or rear lights of other vehicles when it is dark. These images are not intrusive and are not in my immediate line of sight, but they are there. They were a surprise at first, but I was soon able to filter them out. Certainly far better than the visor being misted up. I've been a motorcyclist over 30 years and done my time riding in winter. Wish I'd had a Pinlock years ago. Very pleased with my belated purchase. UPDATE: a few more autumnal rides under my belt now, including more riding in the dark, and an 80 mile round trip much of which was in fog and mist. I never once needed to lift my visor either to see where I was going or to clear it, in the best part of 2 hours riding in cold humid air. I did get condensation on the outside of the visor, which is easily wiped off, but none on the inside. Very impressed.

Waste of money
Horrible really, straight away made the lights and glare worse at night than without the pinlock, day time it'd reflect everything making the vision even worse, had in on for 5 days before I gave up on it then saw all those scratches, I haven't even touched it on the inside so baffles me how it's gotten like this, really disappointing.
