I bought this to use with my first and second graders to help them understand writing opinions. It is excellent

We are a 1st grade class. We used this book when we were talking about opinions. This book helped us write our opinions. We liked the book very much. It has interesting details.

Not very gender friendly (too girl in my opinion).

Cute little book about a toddler/preschooler who loves the color red. I’m sure it has good literary value but I got it because my kid’s favorite color is red :)

I used this to teach about the color red as well as an introduction to nformational writing.

Ordered the paperback and got the boardroom. Story is super cute especially for kids who love the color red.

This is one of my favorite stories! It is a board book so it is small.

The perfect mentor text for opinion writing.

My husband wanted to buy this book for our nearly 3 year old son as he used to read it as a child + our son is obsessed with the colour red. It's fantastic and our son now knows it from start to finish. It's not too long, drawings are lovely and he just loves it. I didn't give it 5 stars though as, although we were expecting the British version, the one we got is the American one. Nothing major but Susie is now called Kelly and a couple of the sentences are different, which my son picked up on (and my British husband is a bit annoyed about). Still a fantastic book definitely recommended for all little ones, whatever colour they prefer.

Lovely book about a girls favourite colour being red... could be read and enjoyed even knowing someone who has a favourite colour cup, paint etc

Bought this new after having it second hand from a library when my children were small twenty years ago. I recently gave away the old scribbled on copy and my adult son complained! Red was always his favourite colour. So I've bought him his own new copy.
