A beautiful guide to kickstart planning your glamping adventures!
I have never been glamping but have wanted to for some time. So when I saw this book, I knew it had to be one of my first purchases for 2022! The book is wonderfully organized, with a funny introductory personal story and then moves into the history, present and future of glamping which I found fascinating. Each location has the perfect amount of detail - enough for you to kickstart and plan an actual trip but not too much that you get bogged down in logistics. I think this book is different, unique, and well-researched enough for beginner and seasoned travelers to enjoy and take something valuable from. It is also filled with beautiful photos so it makes for a fun coffee table book to keep or gift to anyone as well!

This Great Book is Not Just Yurtes and Pretty Tents
This book is so much more than camping in the woods! Mike and Anne of Honeytrek go through a brief history of "glamping" and, from the get go, define the structure styles listed in their book, from treehouses, to 3 kinds of tents, trailers including Airstreams to unique Air BnBs.They've done the work to find really unique places and adventures to go along with it. Their details info includes everything from what there is to do, when to go and exactly what website to visit to do what's in the corresponding images. The 9 chapters make it very easy to get inspired by type of "wild" getaway. They include how to responsibly travel, pack and prepare too.NOTE: WILD does not necessarily mean "outdoorsy" or "extreme adventure". They do include some great hotels and upscale cabins, for example, and things like farm to table experiences. In most of their examples, the woods are not your restroom and you're not skydiving from an airplane. ;-) Think more so gorgeous treehouses made of beautiful wood in Big Sur, California or redesigned vintage travel trailers in Arizona. And bike riding through vineyards or relaxing in natural hot springs. They include some international destinations as well.Great book to keep for yourself or gift to an adventure and travel seeker in your life.

Glamorous Camping!
I’m not a fan of camping but I do like to travel and these Comfortably Wild destinations in Mike and Anne’s book sound fabulous! I’ve been to some of them already and would love to go to others! But I bought this book for my son as a birthday gift who’s traveled extensively and this is a unique take on adventure. He and his girlfriend have been all over the world but not from this perspective.I also purchased their first travel book for my son as a gift 3 years ago from Mike and Anne’s website, honeytrek.com, Ultimate Journeys! My son couldn’t say enough good things about it! He spoke to me about the journeys he’d already taken, for instance Hawaii, and he said Mike and Anne nailed it in their descriptions!I hope he enjoys their second book as much!

Great resource
I'm a travel agent and had attended the American Road Show that highlighted all the domestic travel options amid the COVID 19 re-opening. HoneyTrek was one of three participants featuring Glamping. After speaking with them and find out that half of the suppliers in the book were handicap accessible, I bought it! I am a quadriplegic and used to camp every summer with family. It became difficult after my accident and glamping takes much of that stress out of the senerio by offering these camps where it is set up for you and meets. the needs of a wheelchair user. Great for me and my clients! It has beautiful pictures, a great overview of each featured brand they personally stayed at and is well organized. Great guide for those that are interested in Glamping (very COVID 19 friendly), or for TAs like me, looking to improve their domestic travel knowledge,

Must-have for family travelers - or even the solo traveler!
As parents of two young kids, we struggle with the conventional hotel travel. Full-blown camping is not quite my cup of tea either. My husband and I had never glamped before but had been curious about how we could “do glamping” with the kids. This book is FULL of kid-friendly destinations and the coolest range of options that my two daughters are so excited to experience - treehouses and trains and yurts and more. Comfortably Wild explores destinations from the luxurious to the rustic while keeping the discerning traveler in mind. I’ve already dog eared half a dozen places I can’t wait to check out. Highly recommend!

Travel Inspo! No more boring vacations!!
I cannot say enough good things about Comfortable Wild!!! I got it tonight and I can't put it down If you want travel inspo for your bucket list ... or just a really different next getaway... it's in here. The photography is stunning- absolutely beautiful and I love how it's laid out. It's not just where to stay- it's the story behind the location, best time to visit and then all the fun adventures you can go on while staying in your WILD but COMFORTABLE accommodations. We've been kind of hum-drum with our travel over the past few years. This past summer we went "glamping" (glamorous camping) for the first time and had an absolute blast. I was so stoked to see the place featured in this book completely accurately- the authors and photog totally captured the vibe! Feeling inspired!

Beautiful book. Well written and well organized. BUY IT!
This is a beautiful book! It is well written and well organized, with great photographs of these amazing properties. The authors have traveled widely and know their stuff. They have chosen unique 70 glamping properties all over North America (and the Caribbean) - from the Arctic to the Caribbean, the Pacific to the Atlantic and all points in between (it sounds like a Woody Guthrie song). There is a map of where all the properties are located and a chart of all the featured properties that will help you sort out where and what you want to experience. They have also include an interesting introduction and illustrated history of 'glamping'.This is the book for you if you want to plan out your next trip to experience one (or more) of these unique glamping destinations; or simply get it to drool over as a beautiful coffee table book. Buy it and start planning your next trip. You will not be disappointed.
