You NEED to know what you are doing!!!
As with many things from china the instructions are pitiful. Quality Control is seriously lacking for assembly as well. I received the compressor and unpacked it. The packing is very good and there was no damage. The temperature meter was in a box with no information except that it needed two button batteries, imagine that. No indication anywhere as to the voltage or battery size needed. Many of the connections were loose and the burst disk was in too tight and burst. I reinstalled a new burst disk and tightened all of the connections and all went well. All of the brass fitting are in aluminum so you must be very careful when you tighten the fittings or it is entirely possible to strip out the holes I the aluminum and I don’t think they will cover that under warranty. My process is to tighten until good and snug “not super tight”. Then turn on the compressor with the dead head plug in the female end. Watch the gauge as pressure will build quickly turn off the compressor when it reaches maybe 1500 psi and check for leaks. Tighten in little increments until the leaks stop. The water pump connects to the lower connection on the head and the return goes to the top of the head. This is never mentioned in the instructions either.Once I got all of this done the compressor worked well. I was able to fill my PCP tank 4 time and averaged about 5 minutes per fill from 2000 psi to 3000 psi. This included getting the gun connected and starting the water pump bleeding pressure and so on. So it is significantly better than using the hand pump.I would suggest getting the extended fill hose 52" from “Outdoor Guy” on Amazon as well. The 20” hose that comes with the compressor will work but it is less than convenient to use.

Works great
Went to the small sporting goods store to get my Benjamin 90cu carbon fiber tank refilled and their compressor was broken. I asked how long and they said no idea, not a priority. That stinks, not to mention a 50 minute round trip.I don't shoot pcp enough (yet) to justify $1000 or more for a good compressor. Thought about a Shoebox but it's slow and by the time you get everything it's going to be close to $700. Not even a hose included...Read a lot of reviews and videos about the Yong Heng, I figured for the price and Amazon's free prime shipping plus 30 day free returns why not try it. Sure am glad I did. This thing is amazing, had it up and running in less than 30 minutes, taking my time to check all connections and do everything right. First test filled my 90cu Benjamin tank from 3000psi to 4500psi in less than 5 minutes. Temperature only rose to about 47c and stayed about there. I got the Auto Stop version but don't plan on using that feature, but for $30 difference I figured why not, just in case I want it later. My only concern was this seller, Smarterbuy, could have been selling a Yong Heng clone, they don't show the name in the pictures. Not to worry, my came very well packaged and is a genuine Yong Heng. Highly recommend and right now there is a 5% off coupon.

Loud , hot but very efficient
This is a great compact 4500 psi compressor. We use it in our paintball park to fill up tanks for the markers. It can get very hot even when using ice water for cooling and it is quite loud.Make sure to replace filters and check oil level.Pros: Fast, the autostop is a great feature, easy to setupCons: Did not come with battery for temp reader or info on what kind of batteries.. Fill hose is a little short. Do not come with oil.

Good pump for the moderately heavy PCP shooter
The compressor works good and for the price it's worth buying if you shoot a PCP rifle very often. The instructions are lacking a lot as others have pointed out but everything needed can be found on the internet. I'm running the Royal Purple oil in mine and it seems to be doing good. There are a couple of thumb screws on each side of the compressor that you can open to prevent a hard start but I've found cracking them periodically while it's running helps bleed off moisture that's built up in the lines . The water pump works but it's pretty pathetic and I plan to upgrade it soon. I also recommend getting an additional air dryer to keep the water out of your tanks. If you're shooting every couple of days this beats a hand pump by a long shot. By the time you put an extra dryer on it you're going to be close to $500. The inline filter that comes with it prevents directly connecting to some rifles with a fitting under the barrel so you may need another hose as well. This puts your price close to some of the other entry level compressors and is something to consider.

Love it for pcp rifle
For filling my .357 bulldog it is awesome. I would get nervous running it for too long as it gets real hot fast. Watch your fingers on the tubes even after just a couple minutes.

Great pump!
I have filled 2 large cylinders with this pump up to 4k psi. The pump had no issues and ran beautifully. would buy again if needed

Great for paintball!
Up and running in no time. Came with replacement parts for just about everything that can wear, and already made use of them. Not too difficult to maintain for the average Joe. Using to fill tanks for paintball - only takes a few minutes per tank.
