This Thread is a Nightmare
Before buying this product I read the reviews. It sounded very good. We were setting up a sewing center for Christmas Costumes for a large production, and had need for a lot of black thread. I bought 12 spools. It was much later that I learned that all of the girls using the thread kept having breakages, and other issues. Since they were not all sewing at the same time, they either thought it was issues with the sewing machines or with themselves. Later, I went to sew button holes on satin fabric. This thread kept breaking in the middle of the button hole, and I would have to pick the whole thing out and start over, which was un-nerving, sewing black on black satin. That is when I learned what it was doing for the other girls. I would never, never recommend this thread to anyone, and since it was enough later when I discovered this, did not think I could return it. If you just feel you must have this particular thread, if I can find what we did with ours, I would happily donate. However, I would just be contributing to your headaches. :o(

Frustrating
I should have read the reviews before purchasing, but it didn't even occur to me to do so for basic sewing thread. Well all the bad stuff you see on here is true. It took me twice as long to accomplish half as much using this thread. I spent more time rethreading and clearing the machine, after the thread jammed and broke, than sewing. I'm returning this item. Very frustrating experience.

Took a chance after reading some bad reviews but they were right.
I saw some good and bad reviews about this black sewing thread. The complaints were that the threads would rip apart in their sewing machines. That's exactly what's happening to ours whether we go slow or full speed ahead. Other sewing threads we bought online or in-store might do this once in a great while. This thread is ripping about every foot or two through the sewing machine (a Singer, by the way). It also doesn't slide through the machine very well and you can hear the sewing machine having some trouble with it unlike most threads.Well I took a chance and lost. There are much better threads out there. This ain't it.

You get what you pay for.
It was a great deal. However, you get what you pay for. This may be good for hand sewing, but not for a sewing machine. The thread kept constantly breaking, so I had to switch to other thread I got from Joanne’s and it no longer broke. I would not buy again.

Don’t waste your money
Returned this thread. I have an Etsy shop and do sewing for a living. I’ve never had trouble with thread before. I tried several times to use it, even changed the settings on my sewing machine and the thread broke every time I used it.

Worst thing I've ever bought on Amazon
This thread is TERRIBLE! I had to re-thread my machine about every 3-5 stitches because this stuff is so cheaply made is breaks if you breathe on it. UGH! Yeah...it's cheap. I knew it wouldn't be great stuff, but I thought I could at least get an 8" hem in before having to re-thread. NOT A MONEY SAVER! I just paid $7 for trash.

bobbin yes, needle no
I’ve been sewing face masks and needed more thread. This arrived and it’s size and amount seemed good for the price. As soon as I started using it though, my impression changed. My tip thread was breaking every 5 minutes! I changed back to my other thread and left this on the bobbin, no issues with that.

Sloppy!
This is easily the worst thread I have ever used. It creates sloppy projects because it breaks SO EASILY. do not buy this to sew with. It will make your project sloppy. I do not tolerate sloppy.

thick and break all the time
good for hand sewing, but in a machine, its hard to get a good tension because the thread is thick and not really strong, so it breack all the time...
