Phe-nominal!
I was really just looking for a more environmentally friendly straw. I really only use it for soda (I love the stuff but it's killing my teeth) but it's great. The outside certainly has a metallic taste but that doesn't transfer to the drink at all as far as I can tell. It's also a nice size, short enough to stay put in my small glasses and it just fits my larger ones. I am quite satisfied with this little thing.

Smells strongly of metal.
Titanium is a odorless metal, but this straw has a strong metal odor. It leaves a smell on my fingers and has conducts temperatures extremely quickly. I have high doubts this is actually titanium.
