I was looking for basic stretcher strips for my needlepoint, and these really fit the bill. They are simple to put to put together, and the price is quite reasonable. I can just staple the fabric onto the bars and start stitching. It can be hard to find stretcher bars in my rural area, so these are a really great find for me. I think the price is quite reasonable, and since the bars come is sets of two same size bars, you can get just the size you need, for say 8 by 10 or smaller or larger. ( if you are using them as a stitching frame, be sure to get a size large enough to be able to stitch to the edge of the design and still have enough fabric or canvas to staple to the frame and hold while stitching.) You can also use these strips to mount finished needlework for framing. Again, be thoughtful about the size(s) you need. Then, you can staple the finished work to the stretcher strips and finish out the project with cording, fabric, or other sorts of trim to frame the work and cover the strips.

I used this to complete a needlepoint pillow. They were easy to assemble and easy to push tacks into the frame.

I started a new canvas and the right size stretcher bars.

I bought these stretcher bars online because no one locally had this size. Being new to needlepoint, I didn't know that 1 package contains only 2 bars/1 pair. You need 4 bars/2 pair to hold the canvas. It seems obvious now, but I wish there had a been a note on the listing that pointed this out. I had to order a 2nd pair (from another seller because the 1st seller didn't have any left), and had to wait yet another week for the 2nd pair to arrive.

These have been my go-to cross stitch frames for decades. Over the years I have acquired a collection of 3/4" bars in many lengths but did not have 18" bars for my latest project, so I ORDERED 18" regular (3/4") size bars to fit my existing collection, but received 18" MINI (1/2") size. Because my project is large and therefore heavy, I'm willing to give the lighter Mini a try. I'm NOT happy (2 stars) because I rather desperately needed to start this, and now I have to wait for matching (Mini) bars to arrive. Also, they would have been cheaper if the matching sets had been ordered together. Which reminds me, this 1" square-by-18" long stick came in a huge box, very wasteful. Order snafu aside, the product is excellent and highly recommended; I suspect I will like the smaller, lighter minis even better. Update: The mini size are only available as an addon item; really pissed, now!

Bought these for my large needlepoint. Used them with a 24" set to make a rectangle. They were sturdy, went together easily and held pushpins.
