A great journal
I love the look and feel of leather journals, but as someone who avoids leather on principle, figured I would have to go with synthetic. That's why I was so happy to find this journal, which is made with leather from working animals that have reached the ends of their lives. The cover is soft and supple, without a strong smell. It isn't overly perfect and retains any flaws the hide had, which I like. The paper is thick and nicely textured. I've used everything from watercolors to sharpies on it, and only the sharpies bled through a bit. The string is sturdy and well-attached. I'm very happy with this journal.

Nice journal but the leather cover was only stuck to half the front and back. Good thing is when I get finished with it I can cover another journal with it.
