Good for the price I guess.
Good for the price I guess. It's not strong enough for beginners on windy days, so start out gently.Kite lines are unnecessarily long - it's much faster and fun to fly when the lines aren't fed all the way out. After one too many hard crashes onto a grass sports field, the spine strut splintered. Purchasing a replacement strut would cost nearly as much as the kite (mostly due to the shipping) so I just bought a $5 carbon fiber tube with the same inner diameter as the outer diameter as the strut and slipped it over the broken section - it lives to fly another day.The trick to avoid hard crashes is: just before the kite is inevitably about to strike the ground do NOT pull on both lines simultaneously in a confused panic, but do the exact opposite and swing your arms up and run a few steps forward. It'll still crash, but a lot less hard.If I got to start over I'd buy a better brand like Prism. Prism Jazz Stunt Kite, Ice

"BEWARE THE DEATH KITE!" -- my kids watching me trying to fly this thing
Dude. Seriously this thing should come with an accidental death policy, or at least a warning label. Although quite large it is surprisingly light and nimble enough to evade the eyes of even the keenest of bystanders so most won't see it coming when it death-spirals into the back of their head at mach 2.4 (approximate). Not sure if I just suck at flying kites, or if the designers of this one actually intended to produce an airborne weapon that should probably be cleared with the FAA before taking flight. The price wasn't bad, but then again I could have probably figured out a way to rain death from above for less than $69.99.Your mileage may vary, as they say. Take my advice: wear a helmet, maybe even kevlar body armor.

Very poor materials, broke before completing even a short flight
I was doing the maiden flight with this kite in preparation for a friend learning how to fly. I have flown stunt kite for a decode or more and this was just a checkout flight in 8-10knt winds. The kite lifted off nicely and then started to spiral. I could see that one sponson was folding. When I got the kite back and disassembled it the leading edge sponson had broken completely through at the leasing edge ferrule. I have had carbon fibre rods crack and compress, but never a clean complete break. I think the rod was defective. The general quality of this kite is poor. The harness was not even on both sides, not markedly out of shape, but also not sufficiently well done to do any precision flying. You may say "what do you expect for $27"? Still I at least thought it could be flown and would be an inexpensive training kite. No such luck. A piece of junk.

Had to edit and give a higher review
I had to come back and give this kite a higher review. In my original review I said I didn’t like how easy it was for the spars to slip out of place. That part is still true. But this is a great kite, it’s very stable and super easy to fly. I’m able to do so many versatile tricks with it unlike some of my other stunt kites. It has great pull and can be used in various types of wind. I’m placing an order now for another one for my 7 year old.

price was good
Well packaged Everything looks very well but all I really have to compare it to is My Stunt Kite that I purchased in 1998 and would be flyable except I have to manufacture a new center connecter. I will have to rob a whisker fitting from my old kite to put on my new kite which was missing and then try it out on Friday. That is the only reason so far that I gave it 4 stars was the missing whisker attachment, I will contact the seller about that. Quality looks good the price was very good when I compare it to the price I paid for my 1998 kite of the same size at over 125 dollars.

Kite Broke on 1st Time
My girls were so excited to fly a kite at the beach and unfortunately this is cheaply made. It broke on the very 1st flight and they were heartbroken they didn't get a chance to fly it. We had to go buy a cheap walmart replacement kite (only option at that point) which held up fine the rest of our trip. Don't waste your money on this. Buy a nicer quality one.

Very good for the price! The string is not very good.Update, I broke one spar my fault, emailed them to buy a replacement. They said they did not have one but would replace the whole kite!I was shocked and very pleased. Not too many stores would do that for a customer now days! They are AAA+++

Take it to the beach!
Was bigger than I thought and I love flying it. Looks great up in the sky. Very easy to fly and get the feel for. So many cool things you can do with it. Just takes a steady breeze to keep it up in the air. It is fun, so many people gather when I am flying this.
