Steelhead Fly Angling: Guerilla Fly-Rod Tactics Paperback – April 12, 2012

Best fly fishing manual book I've every laid hands on. He's got a dry sense of humor that makes for page turner. And she cracks me up with his overall paranoia about giving up his favorite 'honey holes' to nearby / spying competitors / regular Joe fisherman like you and I. Gorman goes great to lengths in a futile quest to preserve specific river secrets. The funny part in his quest to preserve his secrets is that I could pay for him to guide me on select Oregon waters or attend his Oregon State University course and then show and tell all my friends the Michael Gorman river secrets -- and my friends would do the same -- ha ha ha!!!

This was a gift and it was well liked by the fly fishing sportsman.Full of information and it makes for a wonderful gift.

I would rate this book six stars if the rating system went that high. At first I only looked at the photos - many great shots throughout the book. Then I was pleasantly surprised to find this such a delightfully readable and informative book. Michael Gorman has obviously acquired great skill as a fly fisherman, and he's able to convey his wisdom with clarity and wit. Anyone who is intersted in fly fishing, or thinks he/she knows everything there is to know about fly fishing, could benefit from reading this well-written book.
