The shelf/basket is nicely made. Unfortunately I didn't realize that the arms were going to be so narrow, and they don't fit over our patio railing which is 3 1/2" wide (brackets are 2 3/4" wide). So for now the basket just sits on the floor of the deck, instead of hanging where I originally wanted it.

I'm actually pretty surprised by how stable these are - I was worried that being so slim they wouldn't stand on their own. They're really cool shelves and enable me to get the most storage space possible out of my work room. I just stick the 7" one anywhere that I've got an 8" wide clearance. Read the dimensions for the shelf size you plan to buy because 7", for example, refers to appx 7" (it's actually 6 7/8") of shelf width inside the unit - outside will be an inch more. I'm finding tons of places to just stick one or two of these - the 7" version holds 7 of my sketchbooks which is more than I expected. The 2 shelf version isn't very tall (22" inside) and I ended up not even using the middle shelf so it could hold things like canvases and watercolor boards. They're stable and not wiggly even without the middle shelf. They also have holes in the sides and in one of the bottom/top pieces and come with hardware that enable you to screw rows of shelf units together side by side by side and also stacking the shelf units two high. If you want to stack more than two units high, you will need to drill holes, however, because only one of the top/bottom pieces has predrilled holes for you, so keep that in mind when planning.the only reason I took one star off is because I find it just totally hideous that the shelves and back pieces are white while the sides are like a dark walnut color. I mean, really, ew. Since they're for my work room I can deal with that but I can't see using them anywhere else in the house even though there are places I would LOVE to have a slim shelf like this.

Overall I like it, but like another reviewer, one of my baskets came very warped. I’m sure with the right tools it may be possible to straighten it a bit, but I’d rather not fuss with it. I would purchase another, but I think this is overpriced for the quality.

My husband thought something was broken because everything was rattling around in the box. I’m glad I hadn’t planned on using these brackets or I would have to return for a replacement.The shelf basket itself is very sturdy and really pretty. The 3 stars are based on the fact I would not have been able to assemble or install with the one bracket so bent.

I ordered this to hang on my deck railing. The width of the hanger was not wide enough so I had to have my husband widen it, which makes it less sturdy.

I ordered 2 of these to hang inside my kitchen window about 2 feet up from the sash. The window is wide so I used two of the shelf basket side by side and attached them to a 2 x 4. I keep apples, tangerines, pomegranates, bananas, etc in them with green layer of soft plastic on the bottom. They keep the fruit off the counter, looks fantastic, is easily reachable and holds a lot of fruit.I like the ornamental design and so far (its been 3 months ) they have performed perfectly.
