Swatch ONCE AGAIN Unisex Watch (Model: GB743)

I bought this as a gift for my best friend who is a nurse in a Covid ward. She kills herself daily. Washes her hands every two minutes. It’s just awful. She wears the cheapest waterproof watch she can find in town. She won’t splurge on herself because she has a 15 year old daughter and she is divorced. I can’t afford a $100 Swatch watch all colorful and everything, I wish I could. But, This is a genuine Swatch watch. If you look at a Swatch Watch on their site or here and you want the day/date on the face, it’s $100 or more every single time. But this one. The flat black. It’s simple, it’s elegant. It can be worn casual and maybe slightly dressy because it’s simple and BONUS - DAY/DATE on the face. So I got it for her. She’s super creative. She’s gonna see it and maybe wonder why I just got flat black and not some exciting colorful one. I’m just gonna explain, sweetie, your a nurse, this is a better bet, you can use it more often. I’m hoping that having the day and date is as important than having a colorful band. Because this one is the one I could afford, and in my mind this one had all the best features. There’s one for $55 that’s super colorful. I know my friend would love it. But no day or date. I decided the black was better for my friend. What’s best for you is up to you…. good luck, honestly. Swatch makes good watches and they are all super nice for nurses!

An excellent watch with the quality control and consistency of the swatch group. At this price, you get perfect lining up of the second hand on the markers, a simple yet clean dial with no flaws, ultimate easy of readability and peace of mind. I wear mine in the shower all the time and it had had zero issues! The size 34mm is "small" but most watch companies including Rolex used to make watches this size before it became trendy to wear a "cookie" on a strap watch. In fact, I like light small watches like this (I am a man lol). Amazingly too, the watch has a super easy battery compartment to change, requiring no tools and can be done in like 5 min by ANYONE. Better yet, you can get the crystal buffed and the battery changed free for like at any swatch store in the mall. For the price, and for any price, this is an amazing watch, super lightweight and the plastic band and construction let's it "float" on your wrist. Also in 18 days it has lost one second total. Unbelievable!!

good price for a simple watch you only need to read the time, lightweight, and it is nice to have glowing in the dark feature. i wear it at work, easy to clean with these plastic stripe, easy to read time, simple and classic with this black and white colors. The size of this watch is not too big as fashion watch nor too small that couldn’t read time. It is perfect for me to wear at work, very functional for timing.The only reason i gave 4 star because the day & date feature is somehow adjusting itself late. I work at night, so the date & day is very important to me. if I look at it after 12am (midnight), the date & day will still show the previous day & date. However, it’s not a big deal if you work on days. you'll see the day & date changes accordingly. Another is the second hand is little bit loud, you could actually hear tic tac sounds.Overall, I like this watch. I had this watch before, but i lost it. So i ordered it again. The watch is not really water resistant because it stopped working from my last purchase (i involved lots of hand washing). I’ll see if this one is going to work better.

Needed to buy another Swatch watch. My pervious one stopped working. I choose to replace it since I was leaving on vacation and wasn't able to get the battery replaced. I've had this brand since the 1980's. It's a great basic watch that's easy to wear for water activities.

This is about as minimal as you can go in a watch.

Funcional

Loved the first Swatch watch I got when I was in my early 20s. Reliable straight from the box with no fuss. Not the same. The day and date don’t match. The date changes but not the day. Very disappointed. Not the same craftsmanship as the original. For the price. Not worth it. Now can’t return cause I threw the box away thinking it was as reliable as before. I was hoping to get nostalgia with the watch of happy times from my youth. Disappointed.

I really wanted to like this watch. It's super simple, looks great, goes with everything you wear, has a date window, and is extremely light on your wrist. Oh, and it's pretty cheap as well.The problems are:-The face get super scratched quite easily. I guess that's what we all expect form a plastic watch but mine looked terribly covered in scratches in only a few weeks.-The band broke on me...twice. It split down the middle and I had to buy another one. Additionally, the plastic buckle broke once as well. The buckle on a watch is a stress point throughout the day when you move your wrist or bump things and this plastic one didn't hold up.-It ticks very loudly. So loudly I had to put it away from my bed at night because it was keeping me up.So if you are super delicate with it or don't wear it often and don't mind the loud ticking this is a great, cheap watch. Those of us who put our watches through even a modest amount of wear and tear should stay away.

Love the design. Great for gifts. My mom loved the watch due to its large numbers. Easy to identify the time and it comes with the day and date as well.
