Lots of family favorite recipes
The peppermint white hot chocolate became a family favorite over the holidays this year. This is my second "copycat" recipe book and I really enjoy being able to cook at home what some of my family members would ordinarily eat "on the go." A lot of these recipes you can make for either lunch or dinner. Chicken Quesadillas, Pesto Cavatappi and the Crispy Orange Chicken are some of the most requested recipes from this book. There is also a peanut butter cup cheesecake recipe that I am just waiting for an occasion to try. Easy to follow recipes; I highly recommend this.

Bored with same meals or recipes? An absolute MUST try this book!! Not one recipe is boring!
My pattern with a new cookbook, is get package of post-it clear colored tabs (Amazon has them). Then start going thru recipe categories, placeing a post-it at ones looks easy, delicious & yes easy, we all need easy right with such busy lives. “Taste of Home Copycat Restaurant FAVORITES” doesn’t disappoint. Initially tagged 15 recipes! Tried 1st, “Tex-Mex Quiche” oh my, was fabulous, for any meal or breakfast. Can easily add more or different ingredients to your personal taste! I added jalapeños, yummm! Won’t be disappointed, I highly recommend this fun, awesome photos, most recipes can make without running to store, and all recipes from recognized restaurants! Try it! Tex-Mex gal!

Great cookbook!
I gave my original copy of this cookbook to my son when he decided to do more cooking. I ended up buying another one for myself because I missed some of my favorite recipes that I used often.

Misleading
As pointed out by a previous reviewer, this cookbook features restaurant-inspired recipes rather than recipes that closely mimic restaurant originals. All of the recipes include or omit ingredients that are or are not in the restaurant version.I am only reviewing restaurants/items I am familiar with to be fair, but here are some examples:Recipe / Restaurant and itemp. 17. Cappuccino Cinnamon Rolls / Cinnabon's Classic Roll - The filling and icing portions of the recipe use instant coffee crystals and instant cappuccino mix, respectively, which are not used in Cinnabon's Classic Roll.p. 25 - Morning Orange Drink / Orange Julius' Orange Original - The recipe does not include dried egg white powder or milk powder, which are usually added to make the drink frothy.p. 28 - Coffee-Glazed Donuts / Dunkin Donuts' Plain Glazed Donut - This one is obvious. Why use a coffee glaze when the original donut uses a plain glaze?p. 51 - White Chocolate Cranberry Blondies / Starbucks' Cranberry Bliss Bar - The recipe does not include crystallized ginger, which is listed as an ingredient [in the bar] on Starbucks' website.p. 175 - Wisconsin Butter-Basted Burgers / Culvers' Original Butterburger - The recipe adds seaasoned salt and 1/2 lb of ground mushrooms, two ingredients that are not used in the Original Butterburger.p. 250 - Classic Chocolate Cake / Portillo's Famous Chocolate Cake - The recipe provided is a modified version of a vintage recipe found on the back of a Hershey's Cocoa can baked [as one layer] in a 13x9 pan. Portillo's serves a frosted, round layer cake.p. 63 - Pumpkin Spice Latte / Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte - The recipe uses ground ginger and nutmeg, but not pumpkin pie spice blend, which is used in Starbucks' version. How can it be called Pumpkin Spice Latte if it does not use pumpkin pie spice as an ingredient? The concept [for this cookbook] is good, but the recipes provided are too fast and loose with the ingredients when compared to their restaurant counterparts (or inspirations)—so much so that they really should not be called copycats.Had the recipes steered closer to the actual ingredients used in the restaurants and items chosen, my review might be more positive. For me, it just wasn't what I thought or expected it to be.My advice to others would be to preview the book before deciding to buy.

Best copycat book out there
First off, enjoyed going through the book, putting sticky tabs on all the recipes I want to try. There are dozens. My husband went through the book also, put all his sticky tabs on recipes that excited him. Will have to give a later review once all recipes have been made. Either way, it was a fun afternoon going through the cookbook with my hubby.

Excited to try all these recipes out!
Book is full of recipes I can’t wait to try them all. Each recipe is easy to follow and states what restaurant the recipe is in relation to. I like that the book is divided my course so it’s easy to find what you are looking for - breakfast, apps, soups salads & sandwiches, entrees, pizza & pasta and of course dessert! This book will keep me busy cooking up a storm!
