I was impressed with the clarity of the instructions in this manual. Storey's collection of "how to" books are always interesting. The author gave excellent examples of color combinations and different styles and uses of the finished braided rugs. I also enjoyed the brief history of rug braiding and what to do and not to do when selecting materials for your project.

Not what I expected.

Looks pretty east to do hope that I can do this even with bad arthritis once I get the supplays I need that is

I have wanted to learn how to do braided rugs. I was give a large box of assorted material from an elderly lady that use to sew. The material is old fashion for making anything but it would be great for making braided rugs. I can't wait to get started. This is a great book and well written and very easy to understand.

this item was a gift for my mother , it was a very knowledgeable booklet as well as straight forward, I have purchased several of the Storey country wisdom bulletins always finding that they have what i need without being overwhelming

This book is a very straightforward booklet on how to make a braided rag rug. It has hand drawn illustrations that are easy to follow. The technique is for a fine finished braided rug with a high level of craftasmanship, however, you can adjust the technique if you want to make a more casual braided rug and not worry about the details.

This little book has everything you need to start making great braided rugs. It is so straightforward and therefore eminently sensible for beginners, however you would not need anything but common sense to expand your expertise. We'll worth the price.

This booklet tells you in simple language how to make braided rugs. Nothing fancy no glossy inspirational pictures but if you actually want to make a rug rather than read a pretty book and dream about it, this does the job.

I found this to be a very good reference book containing useful tips and clear instructions and worth having on my bookcase.

...but more of a brochure than a book, and VERY outdated in its approach to fabrics. Not much use, really...
