If you ever wondered if caring people can make a difference in this world, then be sure to see this program. In 1994, Heidi and Rolland Baker arrive in Mozambique amidst the hard times following the Mozambique Civil War. Even the Red Cross trucks were not safe and were bombed. Before coming to Mozambique, Heidi and Rolland worked as missionaries in Indonesia and China. After hearing about the conditions in Mozambique, they decided to go there and work with the poorest of the poor. They make a difference by adopting a dilapidated orphanage. The children had all kinds of diseases and sometimes even ate rats to survive. Heidi and Rolland began caring for the children, educating and feeding them. During the hard times, sometimes even threatened by death, Heidi and Rolland experienced amazing miracles of healing for the blind, crippled and those afflicted with AIDS. Currently, Heidi and Rolland provide three residential orphanages and schools, caring for 700 children. Hundreds more are cared for by many of their thousands of pastors. The Bakers serve the most forgotten, including street children, prostitutes, the imprisoned and those surviving off a huge city dump. This documentary shows how Heidi and Rolland are a powerful inspiration for many in Mozambique, Africa and around the world.

One beautiful woman, one beautiful life
If you believe that the Holy Spirit was only given for that first century to get the church started, this may not be for you. This is a story of the work of the Holy Spirit in Mozambique. Heidi Baker, how can I describe her? She is like Mother Teresa, fearless and beautiful. The movie is about her work in Iris Ministries, the organization she and her husband Rolland Baker started in that country. If your heart says "Yes" to God, and you are not totally in love with yourself and your creature comforts, this movie is for you. A totally different video from the usual. Let your heart be touched. Buy it.

It's so good!
I had told my daughter about this movie a year ago. She mentioned it to me about a week ago and said she was going to order it some day. I ordered it and sent it to her. She called today to thank me and tell me how very much she liked it.The movie really shows the goodness that this woman performed and encourages all to do better to help others.

Must see film!
This video is amazing. One person can make a difference in the world. Heidi Baker is one person who is. She just has faith the God is with her and she does what is right with faith that God is going to have her back. Which He does, always. The work she is doing with the orphaned children is inspired and inspiring. Who knows which one of those children would be the next Nobel Peace Prize winner? And without her help, they might be thrown away and forgotten.

Inspirational
This woman has such a love for the Lord. I love reading about her and her testimonies. Because of that I decided to buy this documentary. It far from disappointed. I'd give 100 stars if I could, but 5 will have to do.

Mama Heidi
I was amazed how touched this video had made me. I am in awe of the compassion and zeal and love she has for orphans, and the poor in general. She is the real deal and not out for money but, to help the desperate and hurting. I love her and Roland her husband and Iris Ministries. I recommend anything that she or her husband writes.

Video is really good but was scratched
I ordered this dvd used for my roommate for Christmas. We were so excited to watch it and learn about what is going on in Mozambique but were very disappointed when the dvd was scratched so that we had to skip over an entire section of the movie. Get the dvd but i suggest getting a new copy without scratches or fingerprints on it.

Excellent!
Excellent video documentary on the self-sacrificing life of Heidi, Rolland Baker and the workers at Iris Ministries as they take in hungry orphans, often diseased or abused -- providing food, shelter, care and loving them with persistant kindness, bringing healing to battered little bodies and minds. While miracles happen, the focus in on giving, loving unconditionally, and living a self-less life for the good of others, despite your own comfort and safety.

I like seeing what it's like in Africa
I've thought how amazing it is for Heidi's family and ministry to push through the barriers and love the poorest of poor, the ones whose lives are so hard. It is a challenge for a westerner to look at, but I want to be less the spoiled American
