Excellent chair mat! Flattened out quickly and stays put. A different chair mat was ordered initially and that one refused to flatten out. Also, it did not stay put. Seems crazy to be excited about something so simple as a chair mat but when you've fought with another one of inferior quality, you appreciate one that simply does what it is supposed to do.

The "studs" on this mat are low, smooth, rounded nubs--gentler on the new Pottery Barn rug in my office compared to the spikes on past other brands of mats. The PVC has good thickness, and my chair rolls easily across the surface. My only complaint is the packaging. The mat was mailed flat (good), but one long edge of the thin box ripped, so a corner of the mat was protruding upon arrival.

I ordered two of these based on my low carpet piling. The carpet is 24 years old so it appeared that these would be perfect. Turned out they were flimsy and do not stay flat....they bunch up and move.When I complained to the company, they told me I had to stick a pin in the carpet and base the pile of the carpet based on the padding as well and that's why the mats wouldn't work.I told them that was not explained when determining the pile and basically they said too bad. I had paid $108.00 for these mats and felt they should at least have given me a partial refund but when I asked they never responded.Don't buy these mats....go to staples or somewhere and make sure you SEE what you're getting before you spend your money.

I was hoping that this mat would be stiff enough for a low pile carpet, but it is not. It is thinner and more narrow in size than the mat it is replacing. Whereas my previous mat held firm for over five years, this mat is too thin, immediately sinking under the chair wheels. The dimensions of the mat are just large enough for the chair, but not wide or tall enough to cover the floor for the full range of chair movement when I'm not sitting still. Also, the spikes on the bottom do not hold it in place on the carpet. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to replace it.

Bought this chairmat to replace one that had been cracking for some time. The mat itself is not bad, but feels much thinner than my old one. Costco stopped stocking the model I used to buy, so I took a chance and bought one via Amazon.Delivery was fast enough (THANK YOU AMAZON), but owing to the chairmat being shipped in a cardboard tube, they had to roll it up into a ball. The included instructions say you need up to 78 hours to allow it to "return to it's original shape". Well, that's just not the case. The mat still has very large bumps in it, and I don't see it flattening out any more than it has. Too much of a hassle to send back....but I would NOT buy this again!

Good price but really too thin, chair wheels make dent in mat after sitting for awhile making it more difficult to roll from the spot you're in. Ultimately got flat from rolled up in shipping box, but still slightly wavy.

Marvelux chair mats are reasonably low priced, good quality and shipped directly to your home or business. It's getting harder to find these clear mats and a pain to transport them from a store. When ordering on Amazon, you don't have to mess with going to the store.

I should have ordered sooner. This is exactly what I needed under my desk at home. I didn't think I moved around much, but I actually do and this mat really helps since my carpet was preventing almost any movement. It fits exactly and I'm very pleased.
