I highly recommend! I loved mine so much that I got one for my mom and one for my daughter. It really works. I use Schick Hydro 5 men’s cartridges. Prior to using the blade buddy, one cartridge would only last me 4 comfortable shaves, at most. The shave buddy has lengthened my cartridge life to at least a month, maybe even longer. Talk about money saver! Go ahead, click add to basket it and get this! You will not regret it.

Excellent product as it is advertised. It really works. Keeps your razor blades sharp and extends blades' life perhaps by 5 times or even more. It is a bit pricey for a piece of silicone thing. And hope it comes in a smaller and thinner shape so that I can take it for my travel around the world.

I bought one of these for a family member and they absolutely love it (male). So I bought another for myself to try and save some money on buying replacement razors less often. I honestly don't notice a difference in the sharpness of the blades, so I'm a little disappointed. I do think it has helped with the longevity a little bit.

I bought this with more than a bit of apprehension. I shave my face and head every day and many days, twice. My razors normally last 4-days before it starts to feel like I'm shaving with a hunting knife (yes, I have). That's approx $160 per year in blades. I bought this Blade Buddy and experimented with it for a couple weeks before using it for real. After four-months, I can honestly say it works great! I am changing blades every 2-1/2 weeks, not because the blades dull but because the blades-base looks so bad. While I can tell the difference between a 2-1/2 week old blade and a new blade in terms of a smooth shave, it is not by much. The secret, I found, is to use an excellent shave gel on the sharpener to run the blades over. I run the blades 20-times before each shave, which is twice per session (once for my face and then again for my head). While my HeadBlade razor works great, I have an odd-shaped head and the face-razor gets what the HeadBlade doesn't...and yes, the Blade Buddy works on the HeadBlade just fine and that lasts for 2-1/2 weeks, too.

I tried this product on a few different razors. I tested it on a mach 3, Schick Hydro 5, Magnum, Dorco Pace and a Schick injector. I did not notice any difference. I found my blades lasted the same amount of time. The biggest drawback is the blue rubber piece slides out of the holder when you rub the blade in the upward direction...I would not recommend this product.

I just don't see the benefit. You can't take a dull razor across it. How do you know it's doing anything for your blade. I can't tell. It's supposed to smooth out the nicks and bends in the blade. I feel like I wasted money buyng it. Seems like you could just use an eraser instead.

Well ... it arrived quickly ... was somewhat packaged in a way that you didn't have to lose any vital body parts getting the darn thing out ... I read several reviews, which wondered if you used a light machine oil, would sharpen a razor even better. Well, being a tinker, I didn't cherish the thought of my face being scrapped with machine oil & micro pieces of cheap steel, but, I did think of a alternate solution. Tooth Paste - Tooth Paste by nature is a micro polisher & rinses out cleanly + it's designed to trap micro bits of junk it scraps off your teeth & suspend them till you spit them out - so - by this logic, I lightly dampened the pad of the 'ol Blade Buddy, applied a thin(ish) layer of tooth paste & proceeded to run my razor up for twenty strokes - it worked marvels - seriously - it sharpened the darn blades sharper than when they came out of the older from the factory !!! How do I know this ? - simple - I remember the feel of the razor when I first used the razor - I only shave once a week - thus - today being Sat - it was time for me to shave again - last Sat is when the razor came out of the factory holder - I shaved & paid close attention to the feel - this Sat - used my Blade Buddy as mentioned with the tooth paste trick - shaved - & mentally compared the two feelings & I can honestly say - that the razor after being used with my Blade Buddy felt sharper & I believe I go a closer shave with less skin burn that I did last week when the razor was new. Truth be told of course - this is after ONE use of the Blade Buddy - time will naturally tell when I've used it for a month - we'll see then what it "feels" like. But, so far, after one use with Tooth Paste - looking very promising in saving $$$ & wasted blades.

I'm a fan of this product. I have had it for approximately for 2 months now and I haven't had to change my blade yet. Per the instructions, you should be using the tool with a new razor blade, which I did not do. I wanted to test it out with a used blade to see what would happen. The shave is smooth and lasts for at least 2 days. It's easy and quick to use. I use a Venus Embrace blade and it has been sharpening just fine. I'm really glad I purchased this product. I'll be saving so much money without having to purchase blades every month.

I've had a blade lasting me nearly 2 months,the buddy works.
