This blade is an English style, as opposed to American style.The tongue obstructs a lot of the English style light, whereasIt doesn't affect the American style due to location of the light.The company needs to note the style that it sells.

We haven't had to use this yet, but hospitals in Indiana don't carry the child size blade unless it's a pediatric ward... no matter what they say, they don't carry one. Our adult daughter had her voice box damaged by an adult size blade that required a trache for 4 months with an uncertain future of every removing the trache. We carry our own child size now including the #2 bent blade.
