CATTERPILLAR FARM Dwarf Indoor Lotus Seeds Combo Pack (Sacred Pink, Evening Purple) - 10 Seeds Each

Initially I used 10 seeds, non of them sporouted due to fungal infection, even I changed water daily. Please follow instructions and YouTube for complete care, later I planted 5 more seeds out of them 2 became healthy plants, waiting for it's bloom.Tips and Care:1)Soak it in slight warm water and add few drops of vinegar2)Add seeds to above mentioned water and change water twice a dayIf u see white paticles coming out of seeds,it means it's infected and it won't germinate,discard it so that it should not affect other healthy seedsAt last it requires patience for lotus to bloom !!Happy Gardening 🌸

The package contains 10 seed each of the pink & purple varieties.I soaked 3 seeds of each colour in water & 2 each germinated in 3-4 days. One seed of each colour did not germinate, thus it had a germination rate of 67%, which is good.Lets see how the plant grows and if the colours are as mentioned

Too early to put a star or cite a positive/negative review. Most seeds have germinated and are sprouting. That's it. It was only i had placed an order for these seeds that I found in quite a few blogs that it is not wise to expect blossoms from these seeds which mostly grow up to a few leaves and subsequently die. Better go for tubers if u r keen on growing up to blooming plants.

I have received seeds as described 10 of each variety labelled properly.Tried to plant one from each of them and to my surprise both sprouted.After 15 days moved to a bigger pot and they are thriving.Will update this review when de blossom.Process to sprout them:1. Identify the blunt side of the seed. They have one pointed end and one blunt end.2. Take a sand paper and rub the blunt side till you see the slight white/less brown part as in the picture.3. Place them in a glass of water and keep that class in shaded area with plenty of day light but no sunlight.4. Keep changing the water after each 12 hours.5. You should see first sprout in 4 to 5 days.6. When there are enough roots and 2-3 leaves per plant, (it may take 10 to 15 days after putting in the glass) transfer them in a pot with soil.7. Place the pot in a tab or a big bucket and fill with water. You may place small stones over the soil to keep the water clear. Be careful not to cover the plant completely!8. Keep that tub in shaded area for first 5 to 6 days.9. Then keep in a place with full sunlight. You may place a metal net over it to keep away birds/small animals destroying the leaves.

Not good one , just growing the small leaf and after few days it is fully going.

I got my package on 24 September 2020 that was within 10 days of ordering.Outer packaging was good.Although special care was taken to pack the seed in two different small envelopes inside the big one with the color of the lotus/water lily written on it but these small envelopes were of poor quality so they were found torn a little bit for being very small to hold back the seeds inside it.Nevermind ,I got two extra seeds.I put the seeds in water on 25 September. One has to scratch the tip of these seeds on some hard surface as the lotus/water lily seeds are very hard.Scratching/rubbing a bit at the tip of the seed will help the seed to sprout early with ease. Which end of the seed has to be scratched has to be taken care of (Please watch youTube videos before emersing the seeds in the water).On the very third day I saw sprouting of some seeds,3 seeds out of 22. The picture I have posted is of day 6 i.e 30 September..almost all of them sprouted except 5 seeds, that seems to sprout in next 2 to 3 days.Tip:1.Change water every day during sprouting period.One can clearly see dirt.. may be the skin of the seeds and an oily layer over the surface, so change water.2. I kept it at the window where it could receive soft sunlight for an hour or two.My experience with Caterpillar farms had been very good.Thanks

I loved it.. All seeds sprouted..Big thanks to Amazon.. I got extra seeds in each pack.. 4 extra in one and 3 extra seeds in the other.. All seeds were healthy.. pink sprouted the very next day.. it depends on the way you scratch the seed. I scratched it with the help of sandpaper ( that's easy).. if you have any doubts please check YouTube videos.. button end should be scratched till you see the white end.. it may take 3 to 4 days if it's not properly scratched.. ... when you put seed in the water if you find any seeds floating please don't throw it. Because one of the seed which I got was floating.. after 3 days it went under water and sprouted.. once its roots spots out its ready to plant.. its leaves are too small as mentioned.. it's seeds were too small to hold.. good thickness.. packaging was impressive.. and value for money.. waiting for flowers to blooms.. . germination rate was very high 17 seeds germinated out of 22..20 seeds in packaging but actually got 22 seeds. lets see how fast it gives flowers in next season. happy with the germination rate
