Piece broken off one first use and was only a thin twig so could not withstand the thicker branches needed to trim back.

Bought as a Christmas present. In use on boxing day!!

This is ok for really small stuff but the handle snapped on branches of 20mm. I was able to replace the handle as I had an old lopper I have used for years. I would suggest going for a higher quality unit unless only cutting twigs.

You get what you pay for! Make sure you pay more for a different set of shears in order to avoid this awful piece of cheap metal. It broke within 2 minutes of the first time I used it on little more than a stick. I would have returned it but it is a large item and would have required packaging and a trip to the post office and was more hassle than it was worth so I binned it and wrote this review instead. Did I mention that you get what you pay for?

Unfortunately I threw away the receipt and packaging so cannot return this useless heap of junk.Do NOT consider purchasing this item. They do not merit even the one star which I had to leave.

These shears were cheap... very cheap. Unfortunately, in this case it appeared I got what I paid for. I wanted telescopic shears to cut a large hedge in the back garden.The handles on the shears are rubbish - they refused to lock into place, so whenever you push the shears into the hedge, the handles collapse. Then, when you pull the shears out, the handle comes away completely. I spent more time trying to jam the handle back on than I did cutting. Not recommended, I'm afraid.
