Very well written book on medicinal mushrooms. Keep in mind that it was written by a biochemist, so it may get somewhat technical for some readers that just want an easier read. However, it does cover 19 well researched medicinal mushrooms, 15 types of cancer with medicinal mushrooms recommendations, 38 other medical conditions also with medicinal mushrooms recommendations. It has a quick reference on mushrooms and also a quick reference on conditions, a very thorough explanation on mushroom components, how they work, the different manufacturing processes of the mushroom products available, it is well illustrated, etc. In other words, this is a little gem of a book on the most widely used medicinal mushrooms. I love it.P.S. For the sake of consistency, the author used the Latin name for each mushroom. Initially it was a little hard for me to keep up with the Latin names, so I just wrote the common English name next to them and that solved that problem.

Writer pushes false religious ideas, makes the rest of the data untrustworthy. It is fine for religious freedom, but book cover should identify this as a religious book so people like us seeking study based facts are not misled to purchase the book.

I've given medicinal mushrooms to my dogs for many years and found them to be a literal 'lifesaver' for cancer in particular. I take them myself on occasion for certain illness as well. This is by far the best guide I have ever found for specific uses of these powerful herbals. If you are serious about herbal and natural medicine, this is a very good reference written by a top expert and backed by good scientific reference. I was so grateful to find this book as it has expanded my understanding of this complex and useful natural medicine.

This book provided a comprehensive overview of historic and current medicinal mushroom use. Excellent reference. No focus on abuse but provides legitimate, historically relevant applications.

This is a great book on Medicinal mushrooms. It has easy to find appendices for searching either by mushroom for by ailment. It also Shows all the supporting studies. One of my favorite mushroom books.

This book was recommended to me by one of the mycology shops I've used (online) for over 20 years.I purchased it based on their recommendation.The information is very accessible, well organized, and thoughtfully presented. If you are researching the medicinal aspects of various fungi, I would recommend this book.

It is brimming with information, exactly what I needed. It details each medicinal mushroom type, its different given names, dosage, and indications.
