I returned the one I bought from this site, because I didn't like the colour (Seashell Peach - boring; mostly matte grey, hardly peach), so this review is for the same speaker in the Unicorn colour I bought from another seller (because it wasn't available here at same price for exchange). The Unicorn colour is more distinctive and individua (see photos)l; better match for my decor. The speaker is easy to set up almost instantly. You don't need the docking station to charge it, just use the included cable with your own USB plug, e.g. Apple. I bought this for the bluetooth, to play digitally in a small flat, so I'm not bothered about big sound (only use a small fraction of volume capacity). Sound quality is fine - surprisingly better on spoken word (drama, podcasts, radio) and acoustic music - jazz, vocals, instrumental - than on electronica. (If you're looking for thudding bass, you might be disappointed, but that's fine by me.) The app is a bit of a faff - you don't need it for basic functions, but it offers extra features for adjusting balance & range of sound modes (although difference is negligible in my opinion), and allows you to link up two or more speakers in a chain of up to 200+ (!) in Party Up; you can also do the latter manually, without the app, but if you want to pair two in stereo, as opposed to duplicate (as I did, having bought a second for this purpose), you have to use the app for that. I had teething problems with the app, getting it to recognise and pair both speakers in stereo, but got it sorted after advice from tech support (to do with location services in settings). All works fine now. When they're not actively charging, the speakers are cordless, so you can place them anywhere, indoors or out, they're easily portable and neat. I haven't yet taken them outside or used them in water, but apparently you can (e.g. waterproof and floatable for pool party or beach/picnic). One single speaker is fine for basic use, but I purchased a second for stereo sound at home; very pleased with easy functionality, looks, and sound.

Bought for my daughter to play music that is on her phone - she loves it. Sound quality is decent and she takes it out and about with her. Great buy

This is the 3rd Boom 3 i have purchased - 1 for and 1 each for my daughters (18 and 13). I think they represent great value for money - good sound, good battery life, portable and durable - the first i bought 5 years ago. I would n't be without mine and i would not hesitate to recommend.

Happy with my Boom 3. Sound is great and connection quick and easy. She does make a funny ‘hummm’ noise when the battery life drops, it’s quite funny. But all in all, does the job and the sound is fab.

The sound quality is amazing! And the colour is stunning and goes with my colour scheme at home so well. Only issue is that the product was cheaper on the company’s website. I only realised after ordering when I went to look up where it was coming from.
