GREAT case!
I highly recommend this case. I ordered three different cases for my Samsung Galaxy s2 (SPH-D710 model for Sprint, Boost, Virgin Mobile), and this one is by far my favorite of the bunch. This is a two piece case. There is a black silicone soft sleeve that goes on first, then there is a somewhat hard plastic shell that covers the black case. The outer shell is made from a really nice kind of plastic that is slightly bendable. It is NOT a hard, brittle plastic. This works out really well, I have dropped the phone onto concrete floors and parking lots several times with no ill effects to the phone, or the case. This case will almost double the thickness of the phone, and it increases the outside dimensions a little bit. It also adds a certain amount of weight and heft to the phone. It actually makes the phone feel more solid. I really like the way it feels in my hands. The case covers the power switch and the volume rocker switch. But it does so in a way where it actually improves the feel and action of these buttons. I think it feels weird when I use the power button WITHOUT the case now, as I like the way this case feels so much. There are also "plugs" for the earbud jack and mini usb/charger jack. These are part of the black silicone inner case, they fold down and are attached to the silicone so you can't lose them. Even the small openings for the speakers and mic are covered with a fine black mesh. This is truly a protective case. I work in a dusty, dirty environment and this case really does protect my phone.I can still put the phone in the front pocket of my jeans, but it does take a little effort to get it back out again. This case comes with a screen protector, too. But I can't say anything about it because I did not use it. I purchased a ZAGG screen protector because of past experience with the Zagg brand. The combination of the Trident Aegis case and the Zagg screen protector has really protected my phone. I've taken it to rock clubs, and as I was taking pictures, it was knocked out of my hands and to the floor. People were stomping on the phone (accidentally), and when I was able to find it and pick it up, the phone was in perfect shape with NO damage. The case goes on easily, and it is easily removeable. The "Ballistic green" color is similar to a mlitary green color. Not the "olive drab" color, but more like the lighter green color found in the camoflage pattern. I like the color a lot.Overall, this is a great case. Really well designed and engineered. Highly recommended.

Fits perfectly on the Virgin/Boost/Sprint Galaxy S II
This case is designed for the Sprint version of the Galaxy S II, model number SPH-D710 (as noted in the description), also sold by Virgin Mobile USA and Boost Mobile. It is not designed for the Galaxy S II sold by T-Mobile, AT&T or for the unlocked international version. My teen chose this Trident case from among all the available choices online for a new Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II. The case takes seconds to install, and it fits the phone. It makes the thin phone easier to grip. The power and volume buttons on the case line up perfectly with the phone and the cover over the charging port is a plus. The case seems to provide good protection against an edge drop. Two clear plastic screen protectors are included, along with a little tool to squeegee out the bubbles. These fit the phone's screen perfectly, but working out bubbles under any screen protector is an acquired skill. Screen protectors are cheap, so if you mess up with both of these, chalk it up to experience and spend a couple of bucks for five more. The only reason I have not given this case five stars is that we haven't dropped the phone (this is a good problem to have), so we cannot say definitively how well it will protect the phone from damage.I have read all the previous reviews, and the people who seem to be unhappy with this case either bought it for the wrong model GS II phone or didn't read the description and look at the photos to understand what style of case they were buying. So please take note: If your GS II came from any carrier that is not Sprint/Virgin/Boost, do not buy this case--it is not for your phone, and there's no reason for your mistake to turn into a one-star review. Look at your phone's hardware info menu and look for the model number. If it doesn't contain "SPH-D710", this case is not for your phone. Or read the wikipedia article on the Samsung Galaxy S II to find your carrier's model number.
