Manhattan Toy Wimmer-Ferguson Mind Cubes Soft Baby Activity Toy

I ordered this mirror when my son was a month old, and I wish I'd ordered it sooner. I hesitated for awhile because it seemed expensive, but it's been worth every penny. He's almost 7 months now and this has been one of the best toys we purchased. He plays with it pretty roughly now, and we have not had any of the quality problems that some of the other reviewers have noted. Seems like any game he plays is even more fun when he can watch himself doing it.Uses:1. Just looking at his reflection, smiling, laughing and cooing at the baby in the mirror. Also trying to eat the baby in the mirror and checking behind it to see where the rest of that baby is.2. On the changing table, keeps him entertained and calms him down.3. In the crib by itself. I wedge it between the mattress and the side of the crib. Even with no other toys, just the mirror keeps him happy.3. In the crib, with the Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Kick and Play Piano Gym and the Flensted Mobiles Nursery Mobiles, Penguin In Tails. This "golden trio" keeps him happy for longer periods of time so I can have a break. It keeps him occupied for so long that I've even been able to take a few quick showers.4. On the floor, for tummy time, crawling, and rolling around5. I've knotted the ribbons in loops and used a chain of the Bright Starts Lots of Links- Solid Colors to hang it off the outside of his crib, so he can see himself while he's in the exersaucer. Again, seems like anything is more entertaining when he can watch himself.As he grows and develops we keep finding new uses for the mirror. I don't know what we'd do without it.

Originally I bought this mobile just for its arm, since I needed one to hang a bird mobile I had received and this was about the same price as just a mobile arm. However, I have loved all parts of this! It was so easy to attach to the crib (thanks to the other reviewer about not tightening the knob too tightly, that probably saved me from breaking the rectangular plastic piece), the adjustability of the hanging length is nice, and I love the pictures. It's great that there are some for different ages and they're super easy to switch out. I've actually put the bird mobile away until my wee one is older, since she loves looking at these pictures so much. In fact, I take the mobile off at night so she isn't distracted; this is also very easy to do since the top piece slides off the base easily. I've also put the two extra pictures plates up next to her changing table and she loves babbling to them as I change her diaper. I'm very pleasantly surprised with how happy I am with this purchase.

My favorite gift for an infant. Amazing to watch the baby respond to the visual stimulation of the black and white board and later the mirror. In the crib, on the couch this board is mobile and much more effective than a black and white mobile or other black and white products.

This was a great book for our newborn. It is simple to us but it was very captivating for our baby boy. I only wish I’d found this book sooner. I’d just only read & learned about the high contrast/ black-white-red being stimulating when my baby was about 2 months. So that’s when I bought this. I wish I’d had it in his first few weeks. I’d say $10 isn’t to bad even though it’s short and simple because it’s really did captivate his attention and it’s really sturdy. I bought a couple others and this has been one of our favorites. Some for the same or higher cost we’re very disappointing, like the fire truck book. What any review always boils down to on any kind of purchase for me is “would you buy it again ...?” I would buy this again and I would buy it as a gift for others with a newborn.

This little toy is a hit with my infant. I like that it attaches with Velcro is it's super easy to remove and reattach to other things (play gym, car seat, bouncer, etc. The Velcro isn't very larger or strong, however, so I find that it's easily pulled off if it gets caught on something. My little one can't grab yet but I image she will be able to pull it down if she gets a good grip on it. I like the high contrast and the variety of colors and textures - it does grab babies attention! My biggest problem with it is the length. When attached to the car seat handle it hangs so low it nearly reaches babies face. For this reason I almost never use it there if we're in motion because as it swings it gets inches from her face and startles her constantly.

I'm not a techno-phobe but I do sometimes question how much technology newborn babies really need. This is an awesome little mobile that runs on human power and your baby's imagination. No motors, batteries or plugs. It requires someone to wind it up or give it a few spins to make it mobile, but that's a bonus in my book. It makes the caretaker and the baby interact and the baby loves it! It's a great quite time activity and so reasonably priced, you really have nothing to lose by giving it a try.

My two month old baby loves this cube! He loves looking at it and now that he can grab things, he'll get a hold of it and play with it for a long time!

My baby loved these cubes. They're a great size and they're soft and easy for small hands to hold. He still likes playing with them now that he's a bit older.

My 2 month old son loves this mobile. The high contrast images really grab his attention and he spends long minutes looking at them, smiling, moving his legs and cooing. The only point I'd like to talk about is that the pictures are hooked to the frame and some fall easily.But on the plus side, they are reversible and you can change what your baby sees. My son loves the baby face the most.

Mon fils de 4 semaines à été tout de suite attiré dès que le mobile est posé. Il peut être occupé pendant un petit moment c’est vraiment super. Après le seul bémol pour moi c’est que comme il bouge pas, on est obligé de faire bouger le mobile à la main pour pas que bébé se fixe toujours sur la même carte.
