It's ok. Worth it if you want a TWA 747 that won't cost an arm and a leg.
Ok, so I actually don't dislike the item itself. The TWA B747 model is actually pretty good looking for being a simple plastic model. Nothing in the way of extensive detail. It's bare minimum, but it still looks pretty cool. The TWA livery is still very appealing and when you get everything together and place the 747 on the included stand it definitely has a nice presence. My issue is with the price for what it is. It's plastic with painted on detail for the fuselage. The wings have some panel lines indicating flaps and whatnot and the engines have some ugly seams. The wing tip extensions on either wing can bend easily and mine came with one nearly bent at 90 degrees. I straightened it out the best I could, it's not perfectly straight but it's not as bad. The color on the wings and engines isn't uniform in certain areas but it's not a deal breaker, I can probably tweak it with some primer, sandpaper and paint. Granted, it's decent in scale but I may have preferred buying a smaller yet more detailed version of this aircraft with the TWA livery; however that's hard to find at an affordable price. Also, the box it came in was pretty bare bones, just a plain white slender box with the aircraft model on one side. The wings came in a pair held together with rubber-band.I understand it's an item that's more for children so there's no reason to go all out on details but I certainly wouldn't pay 30 dollars again for this.

For all TWA fans
I love it as a reminder of the glory days of air travel. I was an "air hostess" for TWA when 747s where the thing. 14 airline crew and three pilots decked out in our Valentino Uniforms walking through the iconic TWA terminal at JFK heading for Rome or Paris, Athens or Milan. I was all of 22 years old !!!
